So what do we have here:
- Hondacity is running his Core i7 920 on dice plus his GTX 285 SLI setup on water and he is showing some nice AM3 and PIFast scores
- TheGoat Eater is learning how to clock i7 with a W3540
- Q9650 category is owned by thebluemeanie1 and Jor3llBR/Elano
- Yesterday I also saw jcool improving his WPrime scores

So I have a gigabyte board coming with this chip ( 920 DO )....I was advised I need something that is benchable with high FSB.

Any suggestions on a board that won't break the bank that can bench with high FSB that will not be a pita on ln2?

chew, i think you'll have to break the bank for the mobo, the classy is pretty much the only board being able to get you high blck. Otherwise there's a pcie mod on the bloodrage and a GB one(don't remember which one) to help getting higher blck.

hey bud only the classifieds are non hard mod required to run 250mhz bclk... with the 920/w3520 you need high bclk to have fun...if you have the i950/w3540 asus and dfi and msi will be ok with 220-230mhz bclks

do you have the 760 or the 759? nf200s can make a lot of difference in the scores..voltage tweak if no nf200 you'll be fine

i have the 760.
i haven't been able to pass both GPU test in 3DMV with stock gpu settings so far,i just rebooted with stock settings everywhere to do a fresh start, let's see if it works. Kinda frustating.

ok stock settings(with ich/ioh bump) did the trick ~ 17k

agree ioh needs a bump...stock at 1.1v on mine i used a step higher

haven't seen dice action on that board...the bios of the evga x58 non classy is actually good...you might have luck on that board... fingers x'd

It's a pleasure to do the daily update when there are some scores to show!

How high did you run PCIe frequency? I've seen people use as high as 150MHz in single card mode without problems.
I think you should rather try another driver, Andre and Vince are using 181.20 for their AM3 GTX 285 SLI setups, that should be a good start!

btw mem oc doesn't do , same score with 1050 and 1200

that score and the vantage run is the best i can do today, i'll be away all weekend. No more playing with my new toy until monday ;(.
Can't wait to put my new cpu under dice and do some 3d with that beast of gpu.

Hey guys, just got in here! Sorry the delay. This is an awesome thread, made me very happy to be on-board. Loved to see the hard work and nice results you guys are putting in.

I did update some of my Q9650 results but to consolidate the Q9650 ranking and get us some more points I need to knock scooter.jay from Bench Tek UK on PCMark05. He is currently in 1st with 24.4k.

It will be my first time benching with PCMark so any pointers will be much appreciated.
