    I took a similar one a few days ago, hikaricloud. Due to my pathetic 4x O/zoom, i had to use some digital zoom...to get ~8x...which brought in lots of noise. I added a touch of sharpening, and a touch of contrast to try and offset that. It's only good enough for a low res. pic, consequently. Taken at 7:45 PM.

    Here's my beautiful friend at work, she was kind enough not to be too annoyed by the presence of my camera.

    Model = Nikon D90
    Lens = Nikon 35mm f/1.8G
    Exposure Time = 1/25"
    F Number = F1.8
    ISO Speed Ratings = 640
    Exposure Bias Value = ±0EV
    Flash = Off
    Focal Length = 35mm

    Shooting with the aperture wide open isn't always advisable but it's a really dark restaurant and I was trying to keep the ISO as low as possible. On the other hand, I'm seriously impressed with the D90's lack of noise. There is also a great lamp just outside the picture on the left that provides a nice, warm light.

    Elisha, well done on getting the focus onto the dog's eyes.

    Nate
    , I love the symmetry of the image. Do you think you could post a larger version of it?

    Marin
    , special angle. That's an interesting lens you're using, what year is yours from?

    Hikaricloud, I personally love pictures of phone-line poles etc. against the sky, there are just a few things that I'd like to comment on. I think the picture would be greatly improved by the poles being vertical on the picture. Also, the sky is lacking a bit of punch, somehow. I upped the contrast, darkened the picture, upped the temperature and saturation a little. As with all edits, I will gladly remove it if you wish.

    Not bad, but drop your F-stop to F16 or even F8 - at that high of an F-stop your getting a ton of dispersion, that's probably the reason why your shot is coming out so soft.

    yeah i was just playing around on manual mode, its a naturally soft lens so f/stop might improve a little but here is a 5.6 with a little bit of tree leaf in the way.
    i honestly didnt see much difference in the different f-stop's i just went with the cleanest picture
    its just not a very good lens all around if you want crisp clean pictures, but its a good lens for average stuff.

    Mines type IV, so it started production in 1972 and ended in 1976 (replaced by type V). Based on the serial, it was probably made around 1973 or 1974.

    I caught this shot at a match yesterday, although many look down apon firearms I am one of those people that enjoy shooting them and I like to compete with them as well.

    The shooter is shooting a Glock 30 45 ACP and I managed to catch it in full recoil as it ejected the spent brass.
