Call BS all you want. I average a solid 40fps all the way up till you get into the ice... then things get crappy.
Here is a screenshot just to make you go away.
Have a nice day.

Edit: Perhaps having this fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate RTM x64 has helped the frame rates some. Obviously not enough to go from 15-20 like you claim, to a consistent 40-50 like I get. I used to get 15-20 with these same settings when using 2x 8800gts 640mb cards in SLI. So go figure.

There's more than just seeing... some games feel smoother, allows you to jump further etc with more FPS... They are faults in the engine, but when playing online you must master it or you are not able to reach certain spots or can't flee away fast enough... I hardly play as single player game, online is where the actions is for me... I sacrifice IQ for speed... one of the reasons I'm never really impressed with just high detail images as I need to know how it runs on hardware...
If the game coders could program each game to stay silk smooth at 30Fps under all circumstances I would go for 30fps... sadly they can't...
60 Fps or even 125Fps is a requirement for me...
But we are totally derailing the thread here; sorry admin...
LET's GET BACK ON TOPIC : EITHER LOVE OR HATE THE GT300 !
Whoever it will be that get's a good card out at a reasonable price I will buy...

LOL, so somebody mentioned GT300 and Vantage X13000 in the same sentence(only god and Chinese people know what the author meant) and we have a lot of fans masturbating on the nonexistent GT300.
The only interesting info I found on that page was this:
As far as I remember, (ofc if true) GT300 was taped-out 3 weeks ago. So, we'll have to wait for quite some time for any benches of the first working GT300 ES graphics cards.
I have a question if intel's Larrabee becomes a success and both AMD and intel decide to lock their boards to their own platforms then what will nVIDIA do?
