[TEST] AMD Athlon II X2 250

Hello guys today I would show you a little thing, but in first i want excuse me for my English

Today i will show you the result of the AMD Athlon II X2 250, with the GigaByte MA770T-UD3P that AMD gived us.

Cpu is very cheaper because in the EU zone cost about 65 euro... same thing for the Mainboard that in Italy is sold at 90 Euro..... but the result are great, and not only for daily use.. also for the Overclock

    Technic information:

A pics of the Athlon II X2 250

For the test we used 2 different configuration, an Intel and AMD system.... we use also Air Cooling and LN2.

    these are the platform

    AMD

    Intel

And Now start with the benchamark:

    PCMARK VANTAGE

    3DMARK VANTAGE

    AQUAMARK

    CRYSYS

    Devil May Cry 4

    FarCry 2

    Sandra Aritemetica CPU

    Sandra MultiCore

    Sandra Latenza

Sandra test di banda delle memorie

For the temperature we can say that AMD work good, because are very lower in Default Conditions, same situation also in Overclock condition.... in this test are showed only the temperature got with default system, but later i will post also other.

Temoerature are not a wrond read from the sensor... i used for check it a external thermometer with a pt100 probe.

    IDLE

    Idle OC

    Full OC

Now the max stable bus with this mainboard...

i suggest to use F3 Version for the bios... because is very better than F2.

    Max stable Bus

    Now some Benchamrk

    SuperPi 1MB

    SuperPi 32 MB

    PiFast

    3DMARK 01

    3DMARK 03

Nice, thorough benchmarking. How many euros does the E8600 cost? And how high of an overclock can you hit with it?

E8600 cost about 220 Euro but native has a clock speed of 3333 MHz..... in this test i downclocked it to 3000....

An Intel CPU with native clock speed at 3000 MHz is E8400 and its cost is about 120 euro.

With an E8400 or E8600 is possible get without problem the 4500 MHz benchable..... with 8600 is possible also get the 4800 benchable with air, and the 4500 rock solid for daily use... but only if you are lucky

Nice post, though I must say I don't like graphs where a bar being twice the size of another bar != twice the value.

i don't like the E8600 downclocked you should have tried a E8400 then, people will be confused.

the price is pretty good but with a e8400, E8500 or E8600 you can easily reach 4GHz 24/7 and that is a pretty fast system.

You have a great RAM. I also have HyperX DDR3 1600, Regor CPU and same GA MoBO, but I couldn't push RAM frequency so high. Nice results. What is your highest stable LinX frequency with 64-bit linpack ?

not a believer in linX stability (Much more in running the benchmarks and testing), but tested the 1880 MHz with LinX using all of available RAM, I think it got an error after 5 mins. But I;m sure it might be stable by backing on the freq a little bit.
