Sapphire 4890 Vapor-x

I just orderd a Sapphire 4890 vapor-x. It will hopefully arrive tomorrow or tuesday.

Ive been reading some today and ive read somwhere at xs that the vapor-x doesnt use the volterra chip so it cant increase voltages through software. Is that right? It never got confirmed so im hoping its not true.. What voltage is stock for the 4890 cards? The vapor-x is running 870mhz so its not a heavily overclocked card.

I read that instead of increasing voltage through software it is still possible to increase voltage through a bios flash? Is that right? If, how high can i set through bios mod? How does the vapor-x usually do when it comes to overcklocking since it use other pwm than most of the 4890?

I found a bios to the card now. But when i load it up into RBE the highest voltage that i can set is 1.313. How do i increase it ?

Many 4890s can run around 950MHz on stock voltage which is plenty fast anyway. I don't know how well the Vapor-X stacks up compared to the regular cards that are more common.

Okey. Well it would be nice to be able to adjust the voltage to.. :/

The "change voltage" button in RBE was greyed out so i guess im out of luck..

The club3d 4890 and the xfx 4890 (regular) both with 850mhz gpu, can they adjust the gpu voltage?

Oh crap... I will get it tomorrow Is it worth returning it and adding 20usd to get a "real" card? How much more would i be able to oc the gpu with more voltage? I will be running water on it.

I can return it as long as i havent used it so what should i do :P ?

How about the regular XFX 4890. Reference cooler, reference speed Is that one using volterras?
