True, but hicookie started his a day after these other two threads already were posted. Not exactly sure why he started a new post rather than adding to one of the previous ones.

Intel, please sell it more expensive than AMD because if you lower the selling price then AMD will say bye bye to us

Intel Lynnfield alive and selling in Taiwan

We heard the reports and rumors, so this Friday afternoon we visited the Taipei Computer Market and confirmed them for ourselves.

It does indeed look like Intel has broken its own NDA in Taiwan by selling its full range of Core i5 and Core i7 Socket LGA-1156 Lynnfield based processors. And it’s not just one shop selling them, literally all of the PC hardware shops are selling them.

Not only that, but we saw a range of ASUS and GIGABYTE LGA-1156 based Intel P55 Express motherboards on sale. Despite the rumours of MSI having a CPU and motherboard bundle deal on sale at the start of this week, we didn’t see any MSI boards on sale – but we may just have not seen them, it’s a big place the computer market in Taipei.

There you have it – Lynnfield based products on sale in Taiwan almost a full month before Intel officially launching the new platform next month on September 8th. Oops!

How often does these things happen really? I don't remember since last time something was for sale before it was officially announced to be and a month beforehand!? Usually it's the opposite, either paperlaunch or delays.

I'm quite sure many european and american retailers have them in stock as well, just waiting for the NDA to expire.

Just get rid of the worldwide/regional NDA already, and give us some Lynnfield/P55 details and benches. What's the point of enforcing it when the products are leaking out all over the place?

    . I'd want that too.

But I guess they don't want us to ruin their launch party.

I hope people in Taiwan/China buy these & flood the various forums which results, screw up Intel's NDA, serve them right.

Intel may as well release them now anyway, ruin AMD's launch of the 965 not that alot of people will buy them at the price it's at.

I bet most countrys have stock but not letting on.

If the price sticks at 150euro when it gets to sweden its gonna be SICK.. But as usual we will probably have to pay around 220euro for it i guess..

I wish they also had the i7 870. At least that would have given me an idea of what they are charging for it.
