New VGA cooler from ZEROtherm: CoolMaxx

ZEROTherm is rather a new name in the cooling industry (or at least for westerners it is). However, their products have a good price/performance ratio, and in the last 2 years we have enjoyed a wide variety of cooling solutions for CPU (Nirvana, FZ120, etc) or GPU (Hurricane), with a decent price tag and outstanding performance. Things have been quite calm during the last few months, untill we saw some new VGA's at Computex cooled by some very interesting heatsinks. So we wanted to know more. So we found out (in exclusivity for the world wide web) about ZEROTherm's masterplan, to launch the Coolmaxx series durign the next month. The Coolmaxx series is made out of 3 different models, all designed for the modern GPU's.

Looks like it would work well in an HTPC environment to help keep the profile of the card low.

Zerotherm usually has perversely high finish on their products, I love them. I've used a few of their products, I've never been unhappy with them, really.

    Looks very nice:

You can probably mod the reference 4890 cooler to have this inside the cooler with the fan and the sticker on top.

Some may disagree with you, thinking about Nirvana and FZ120. But for them to understand better, you shoulld tell them that you are a die hard TRUE Copper and Megahalems fan, and those are inded much sturdier then ZT CPU coolers

That price isn't too far off a water block.

What size are the heat pipes on the coolmaxx 3000 6mm, 8mm or 10mm?

If their 8mm combined with the 2 fans it may be the best vga cooler yet. However the 2,700 rpm of the fans sounds like they will be fairly loud.
