    PPDs

Well spent most of the day getting Windows 7 RTM running.
    Also installed a second 9800x2.
Here are the ppds for the 9800x2.

INFRNL here are the GTX260/216 that I have in my gpu folding farm.
    All stock speeds and clocks.

    Hope that helps.

Yes this helps a bit. I already ordered another GTX 275; couldnt pass on it; If I had more money I would have bought 2.

I will be getting a BFG OC GTX 275 for $170ish. A GTX 260/216 would be $135-140, so $35 approx is worth the xtra ppd to me.

I also saw that PG was saying his 260/216 doesnt seem to be much better than his 260/192 which a GTX 275 kills in ppd according to my findings.

Anyway, went for manother gtx 275, may possibly get another with the current deal on the BFG.

Broke my heart to betray evga, but BFG was $20 cheaper with slightly higher clocks.

Those #'s are on par with a GTX 275 oc'd. so possibly the gtx 285's he has in his sig?

Although my 275's were getting approx 8500 on the 1888's, not I am running 2 5906's and fahmon is reporting 9709.71ppd on these wu's just noticed this one is a 472 wu, but still

Yup 285's from my sig, sadly non OC'd because I'm lazy to switch the OC/SLI profile back and forth everytime I play a game

Rumour control says that it may be possible to run folding whilst in sli if using 190.38's but it could be you have to have cuda 2.3 too and I'm not sure what that would do to folding

Yes OC but the 190.38 SLI on Win 7 is kinda broken so I had to update the Drivers and the SLI profiler with a newer one for the problems to stop.

It's a no go for me , I have to have these drivers I use.

In the end I couldn't take my hands off of the 295, dual GPU cards are just tech pron for me. Send in the two 275's since they couldn't even run 1512 on shaders. So I thought wtf and got me one of the single PCB babies from Gainward:

    Results:

I can't shake the feeling that the single PCB version is, from a folders perspective, the 295 done right. 10°C lower temp than on the old one, with higher clocks. Combine that with 190.62 drivers, no SLI disabling, it even keeps the dummy monitor activated between reboots.

I'm interested in that too but I haven't got the kill-a-watt in-line right now. I'll deliver numbers sometime this week.

Thats really weird that you couldn't run 1512 on the shaders of your gtx 275's ...I run 1620 on my 275's 24/7 without issues

Yeah I've seen that most 275's do these clocks, but mine just didn't want to. I've tried several drivers, also cooling wasn't a problem so I don't know why. Maybe it was because I did buy the cheapest ones available?

    Forrest GPU logic

GPUs like CPUs are all individual.

Like Forrest says, "You never know what you are going to get."

Just because it is a 275GTX only means it will do the stock settings for sure.
    Anything more is a gamble.
    Especially with the cheaper brands.

And since January this year I was always loosing in this gamble.
Two borked dual-PCB 295's, two 275's, I was just about to give up. Glad I didn't. Until now this baby is as stable as my old 9600GSO's were. And cooooooool.

    this!

my gx2's have been loving the 190 drivers+win7. keeps my settings on reboot, and no reboot is required to switch into sli. i know you could do that before, but vista would act like an @$$ afterward.

Okay, here's my personal power usage spreadsheet. This post will be updated as often as possible.

    Preliminary considerations:

    1. The Kill-a-Watt I'm using is around 20€, so I guess it's not very exact in it's measurements. It should be, however, usable to get an idea or trend of usage.
    2. Windoze idle usage is somewhat skewed since one of the GPU cores isn't ever falling into 2D idle state.
    3. I'm running 4 VM's, WinAFC helps assigning 7 threads to the VM load and one to GPU load.

    System components:
    PSU Antec Signature 850w
    DFI X58-T3eH8
    i7 920 @ 4.2GHz 1.325 vcore 1.42 vtt
    12GB DDR3 1600 7-7-7-24 OCZ memory @ 1.66v
oldie Audigy, two hdds, two odd
one DDC 3.2 pump, 9 fans total

    GPU
1x GTX295 single PCB, stock volts air, fan 100%, CSM: 630-1548-1107

    Windows idle 285w

    Code:
         | VM1 | VM2 | VM3 | VM4 | VM base load | GPU0 | GPU1 | resulting wattage
    ====================================================================================================================
    WU |	2677-a2 | 2665-a1 | 5102-a1 | 2677-a2 | 408 | 787pt p5793 | 787pt p5794 | 575
    WU | 2677-a2 | 2665-a1 | 2669-a2 | 2677-a2 | 440 | 787pt p5793 | 353pt p5766 | 542~568
    WU | 2677-a2 | 2665-a1 | 2669-a2 | 2677-a2 | 440 | 787pt p5793 | 511pt p5749 | 586
    WU | 2677-a2 | 2665-a1 | 2669-a2 | 2677-a2 | 440 | 353pt p5767 | 511pt p5749 | 575
    WU | 2677-a2 | 2669-a2 | 2677-a2 | 2677-a2 | 440 | 511pt p5755 | 511pt p5753 | 594
    Notes:
    - 353pt WU seems to fluctuate alot, maybe because it's not fully loading the GPU all the time?
    - A1's draw less power, but maybe that was obvious
    - Apparently there aren't many data points needed, as all the values seem to be in the same ~50w margin. I'm hoping for combination of 2 551's and 4 a2's to see the absolute max.
    - apparently the PSU could support another 295................

About 9200 PPD between my PS3 and the GTX 285, which puts the 285 at about 8300 PPD

    Two 250GB 7200 / 4GB XMS2 800 / 1Kw XPS PSU / Freezer Pro 7

the ps3 point system is really unfair. a cell is still faster than a core i7 in fp and its 3 years old. that's not to say quit folding with it though.

I used to fold on my PS3 but it sounds like the fan is getting ready to explode; so its not worth the 900-1000ppd to me to blow up my ps3. If they would give better ppd for the ps3 then I might reconsider...not sure

I find it too hard to compare from fahmon as it isnt too acurate due to different wu's all the time.

best way it to go off the stats page giving you only have a single gpu on the rig. I guess the way you are posting could make for a comparison to get a rough idea

I still need to get my 275 back to folding to see what it actually produces.
