OMG. Is this true? How's the multiplier? Is it still locked?

#@!&^# I just checked the CPU-Z validation and we have the exact same motherboard. I'm running out tomorrow and getting a Sempron.

Yes, the multiplier is locked above the stock 13.5x.

Got myself one two weeks ago but haven't had time to play around with it till today.
Unfortunately that b*tch is unwilling to offer me the second core () so I decided to remove the heatspreader just for fun.

    enjoy

Does the GeForce 8100/8200/8300 have NCC? I used to own an ASRock K10N8 (GeForce 8200) but I had a Brisbane processor at the time...

Walassios, I have the K10N78M which is the same board as yours except being smaller. Mine came with the 1.40 version BIOS and I see that yours has the 1.10 version. I downloaded the older file and will see if it gives me NVCC which 1.40 doesn't have. Then maybe my Sempron 140 will unlock or I might even try to unlock my 720 BE that is currently unlocked in my Biostar mobo. Thanks for the great info as I didn't know that NVCC was available in the original BIOS and that it apparently recognizes the latest AMD CPU's. Great stuff dude!

    Yep, it's there.

    NVIDIA Core Calibration
Setting this item to [All Cores] or [Per Core] will enhance the overclocking
ability of the processor. Configuration options: [Disabled], [Auto], [All Cores]
and [Per Core]. The default value is [Disabled].
