What is the max bclk's people are getting on this board. I know it depends on the cpu but i would like to know as i can't find nothing.

218 BClock for me with a D0 920. It Needs VCore 1.55v for it, any less will not run benches.

Cannot get any further by raising the PCIe from 100 to 130.

I do not turn HT off, why?

So with HT on I can run all benches at 218x21 with HT on @ 1.55 VCore.

Also the Kingstons came back. They need QPI/Vtt of 1.475 to run memtest error free with 8-8-8-21-1N Timings at DDR3-2000 frequency at 1.65vDimm.

Good deal on the kingston as mine will be here friday. I sure do miss that 2,000mhz. But i must say they got the quickest rma turn around i ever seen.

Thanks everyone for that added info on the bclk. Well got to go look at post in asus forums see you in the "Kensek".

YOu just need to be lucky with ya hardware mate.. Buy 10 boards and test them all, there will be some boards on par with eachothers, a few might be sub par and maybe one or two that excel. Eg we used a Classified to bench on, while 235Bclock is nice, it's nothing compared when some can also bench at them speeds at 3d while we are limited at 2D for that Bclock... 3D was limited to sub 230 bclock...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

Lets talk Max BClk with all the Bells and Whistles on.

So that means 21x Multi On, with Turbo throttling disabled, C1E disabled, EIST disabled, HT enabled.

Now what can your system bench, Max BClk wise?

    Differing Opinions but

But, I have not had a single issue with my R2E. I have used a number of the BIOS versions available since I got this board in Feburary and I have not had a single cold boot (fingers crossed). I am also using a HX1000W with it.

H2o is better but air works

I am using air and having great results. I have been able to get to 3.8 Ghz stable with prime 95 with HT enabled on air and that is with a CO step 920. I am going to get a D O step 920 and see what it will do and I may consider water but I am not trying to break the bank. I run at 3.6 24 7 on air with no problems. I really love this MOBO and CPU.

Nothing of that kind all PSUs seem to work just fine.
I've been there and finally decided to go with the r2e but now u have the 760 which doesn't have the nf200 chip but has no problems like the 759.

I had the cold boot with only the dominator gt cl8 which was cured with bios 1502

you are better off with the stock, I've never had any over heating issues. If you have a good airflow you're good 2 go

    Thanks for the reply

But i'll be WCing the NB/SB, and since the "heatpipe" is one-in-all on the motherboard, i can't just leave the mosfets...

Thats why im asking if those heatsinks will be enought, or if i realy need to WC them (+$$$ )

    EDIT:

    Are these http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...ducts_id=23204
better then the Enzotech ones i posted above ?

I snapped a few bios pictures today of the highest clock speed I could get and still boot into Windows then validate CPU-Z. After the success of the 4.92GHz validation I really thought I could get a 5GHz Windows boot and CPU-Z validation but that just didn’t happen. I even went as far as removing the three Evga 260’s and one stick of the DDR3 memory. I figured I would have a better chance using just a VGA pci GFX card and two sticks of memory. Well it worked out that I could only get one more tic from the BCLK to 235. Although I did end up a bit higher on the CPU Voltage (1.63750 in the bios, 1.624 CPU-Z) than I wanted to go. I tried but I couldn’t find a combination of settings to get a Windows boot with anything less. The system may over clock as high at lower voltage settings as I certainly didn’t try everything.

I realize that there is very little that is exceptional about these bios settings of course the CPU voltage is high and I may be able to lower the QPI/DRAM CORE VOLTAGE or some of the other voltage settings but the system booted and validated at these settings.

If anyone decides to use any of the bios setting I have listed below please understand, you do so at your own risk.

    Liquid cooling (cool water)
    CPU-Z 4.94GHz validation
    http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=638682

I ran 3DMark Vantage after disabling PhysX, testing with and without HT. Below are the highest clocks that would complete each test, HT enabled and disabled. As you can see by viewing the results HT makes a big difference when PhysX is disabled even though the test is ran at a lower clock.

Three Evga GTX 260’s Tri-SLI liquid cooling (cool water).
    HT disabled

    HT enabled

Why didn't you compare the same CPU speeds and gpu clocks ?
