    ahh ... Intel LGA pins ... are sensitive. I rather call'em springs.
    Anyway, I did a couple of surgeries and -
    - a magnifying glass (a nice clear one) - it's handy, I used it to check on the results in detail although I was able to work on the pins without it
    - the magic tools in my case were two needles with one having a bent (twisted, curved ... ) tip - IMO better and with steady fingers more precise than the pencil method
