    Mach 2 ST released!!!!

Well guys nventiv has released a new product

Here is the new nVENTIV Mach II ST available for customers all around the world.

With the evolvement of the new nVENTIV Mach II ST system, nVENTIV offers you extreme performance at a low cost. This new version of the Mach II has the same awesome cooling power as the original and approved Mach II but at a cheaper price. The product is avaiable in both the Enlight and Lian-Li design cases.

    Capable of removing 200W
    Undisputed extreme performance
    Condensation prevention
    Lower noise operation
    Improved start-up procedure
    Mach II ST Chip-controller
    Mach II compatible
    New selectable housing system (aluminum)

"This chart indicates the performance of the Mach II ST model and the performance is similar to the original Mach II.

The purple line illustrates the evaporation temperature.

The blue line illustrates the CPU surface temperature.
This temperature is measured by the sensor which is placed just below the surface of the evaporator head pressing against the CPU. The sensor is mounted in the evaporator head by drilling a very small hole."

Pick up the base unit and then a Lian-Li PC-65 (only about $110)....hmmm....thinking about phase-cooling....

nothing... you dont have options in putting an LCD into place.. you will receive no signal if you connect it to the controller board.
Performance wise its exactly the same...I got one here Same Compressor and stuff

is this the new thing that was being talked about, or will something be released at cebit that would i assume be r404a, r507.

assuming both results are acurate, as in ls claims and mach 2 st claims, this can do -25C evap temps at 200W, and teh LS will do that at 240W? I'm seriously considering buying one or other, or some new mach 3, but it would be a major pain to buy a LS just to have something come out for £100 more that will be quite a bit better.

EDIT: ive just noticed that the pic at the start of this thread isnt the ST (it has an LCD display)
This is the ST (no much difference lol, but i did find that picture initially confusing):

I decided that I'm buying the Vapochill LS, even tho the Mach II ST is a real nice deal...

The Vapochill LS is just a steal! R507 modding a mach I or mach II = $200+ if done properly, add in Lian-Li kit = 200 avg price (kit tronics = 150), then the LCD which is 80-100, not to mention CPU kit = 100+, its just too good a deal to pass up..

I have a feeling that the LS won't be lasting long, it has wayyy too many options for Asetek to continue selling that and still be able to remain in bussiness...

What makes you think that AMD will be able to produce chips capable of that in 2006?

Look at how many years it has taken them to reach 2.4Ghz. They were founded in 1968 IIRC.

I just don't understand why you make statements like that.

IMO they could produce a 5 ghz cpu right now if they wanted to they have the now how it's just not very many people you pay the price they would cost right now.

They just give us little by little every 1\4 of the yr or so and make sure we stay happy.

I definetely don't agree with that statement. Some of that may come into play, but not at the extremes of a 5Ghz chip, no way for AMD but maybe for Intel.

Nah you just need to look at the architecture and the way AMD is evolving its cpus (less reliance on frequency) to see that they dont have the capability of 5GHz - as for Intel well the speculation that they are moving to some kind of numbering system indicates they too are looking away from the GHz philosophy - especially as their current offering is proving problematical in ramping up speeds (you just need to look at when they introduced a 3Ghz cpu and where they are now to realise that).

    Exclamation Allegedly...

Allegedly certain parts of the american "black bag" operations units had computers capable of running at 5 GHZ + and this was in 1968!!

Before you reply notice i used the word "Allegedly" TWICE!!

Oh Yeah forgot to mention it was supposed to be as big as three houses.... LOL

AMD has the ablity to produce chips in speeds of excess of
anything we see at the moment as does Intel but speed
does not necessarily make them good.

Remember certain parts of the Intel core are Double Pumped
i.e. Maths units are running 2x the core frequency.

    ...

Anyway on topic forget vapochill i'll leave Nventiv's ST
but give me please the GT version please

Yes it does exist just visit Nv ST page then change the url
    number at the top +1
New specs to appear here >.< sometime soon.
in the mean time i'm using me shuttle
    tis fast enough for now.....
<doh in me dream tis slow> no vmod / no PSU mods / no phasechange how can it be fast
