    OC Report - G.SKILL Perfect Storm F3-16000CL8T - simply PERFECT

    Today, we have G.SKILL's 6GB F-3 16000 Cas 8 Perfect Storm modules up for review.

    Specification
    Main Board - Intel
    System - Desktop
    System Type - DDR3
    M/B Chipset - Intel X58
    CAS_Latency - 8-8-8-21
    Capacity - 3GB (1GBx3) , 6GB (2GBx3)
    Speed - DDR3-2000 (PC3 16000)
    Test_Voltage - 1.65 Volts
    Registered/Unbuffered - Unbuffered
    Error_Checking - Non-ECC
    Type - 240-pin DIMM
    Warranty - Lifetime

    The G.SKILL Perfect Storm shipped to me in a plastic package.




    These sticks are built around Elpida's MHN-E Hyper ICs and rated for DDR3-2000 speeds with 8-8-8-21-1T timings at 1.65vdimm.




    The Perfect Storm series Core i7 kits which come with a dual 60mm air cooler plus blue LEDs with a 4-pin connector.




    The standard heatspreaders are epoxied to the ICs and the PCB.



    Test System
    Today, we'll be using our Biostar X58 testbed ,the OS Microsoft Windows XP Pro and the benchmarking applications Everest v4.60 and SuperPi 1.5mod.
    The G.SKILL Perfect Storm were clocked at DDR3 2000MHz with 7-7-7-21-1T,for stable performance vDIMM was set to 1.68v and DDR3 1900MHZ with 6-7-6-21-1T timings at 1.88vDIMM.

    VGA - ATI HD4770
    SSD - Transcend 32gb
    OS - Windows XP Pro
    PSU - Giga EZ 1000w

    DDR3 2000MHz Cas7 7-7-21-1T (1.68vDIMM)


    DDR3 1900MHz Cas6 7-6-21-1T (1.88vDIMM)


    For the overclocking results vDIMM was kept at 1.68v.
    DDR3 2140MHz Cas7 7-7-21-1T (1.68vDIMM)

    DDR3 2360MHz Cas9 9-9-31-1T (1.88vDIMM) ,I would hardly call this stable but it was able to complete the Everest cache & memory bandwidth test


    DDR3 2402MHz Cas9 9-9-31-1t (1.88vDIMM)




    To wrap things up,if you are looking for an incredibly kit that offers incredible performance, this kit is for you.

    i don't think so,when Gskill make the old PS cl7 with same HS as Cl8 and new 2133 cl9 OCZ still didn't release the blade series

    As far as I remember hiwa had the CL7 Perfect storm triple kit and it could do exceptionally high CL7 frequencies at only 1.54 - 1.65V

    Not the same HS, ocz are fixed by screws not the gskill.

    On my Kit ar Hyper too i can upload a Pic from the chips i hade removed the Hs wen i at home
    But i have problem this kit works stock i have Freez at LinX
    Witch Memtest86 Version works 100% with i7 and 6Gb Tree Chanel?
    And Cl7 only at 1,75VDimm or i had only 2-4Gb Ram
