I'll take some of the blame on that one. My cruncher has had some issues the last few days and was down for about 24 hours. There goes 30k pts for the day =/ Side note, should be back up and running now

Both are running Server 2008 R2 RTM and just updated themselves, so they stood there for somebody to come and log-in, so it's been there eating up electricity for 3 days without crunching
One is the dual harper 5492 and the other the i7 965...
Took me 2 days now to get my usual numbers back, and i'm checking both rigs like 10 times a day to be sure it's crunching...

I told my server 2008 box (sammy 1) to not dare install without consulting with me first Of course that probably also means that it won't get updated that often

lern2autologin, n00b Requires a LITTLE bit more work with a Win Server OS, but it's still fairly easy to do. THIS SITE has a bunch of stuff for adding desktop features to a S2k8 install (and I imagine that 2k8 R2 isn't too different), and in particular configuring auto-login and disabling strong passwords.

Thats what I hate about windows anything new. I recently installed win7 on 2 rigs and once it installs the updates if you don't pay attention it will reboot automatically without your approval. bunch of crap if you ask me.

I did the same thing ever since those 2 rigs updated; I am constantly checking my systems now to make sure they are running.
