definitely. it was just a simulated HDR from 1 RAW file. i'm sure a proper bracketed shot would have worked much better blending all the elements.

Monst0r, that is a wonderful shot. I can guess that you had the waterdrop from the bowl?

yeah i actually used a turkey baster for my dropping tool lol. I put my camera on a tripod up high, focused it where the water would drop in the bowl, and then stood in between the bowl and camera so i could time the drop and capture better. about 10% of the shots i took were acceptable. droplet photography is a PITA

Only reason the exposure bias is up is because I accidentally spun the dial on my 50D.

Hey man didn't know you were on this forum too Anyway, some advice. Flash won't really do much when your taking a picture of something that far away so you really need a tripod. You can straighten out the picture too with Picasa or Photoshop or something like that.

I wondered if that was you...the 0 in monster was the giveaway. Thanks for the tips ...i took a bunch of pics that night..it was cold(~0C/32F), windy...and about 7pm. Going by my LCD display..i got better shot w/the flash on...for some reason. That was on a tripod too ...i guess it wasn't straight, or on completely level ground(was on someone's driveway across the street ). I also didn't bother with any"touch-ups", i thought the angle made it a little more interesting....but maybe not.
