I "guess" it would be a tier 2. Highly Recommended.

    SILVERSTONE OP700 700W (Rated@50C)
    +3.3V@24A,+5V@30A,+12V@58A,-12V@0.5A,+5VSB@4.0A
    Specs: http://www.silverstonetek.com/produc...op700&area=usa
    $120: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817256033
I would rate it tier 3.

Even tho it does 700W @ 50c, most quality units are also rated to run at 50c....

Tier one its the likes of signature series, enermax new line, etc..

Tier 2 imo is corsair, seasonic, cwt designs, among others with exceptional review results.

Older models like this silverstone are solid but a bit outdated and not very good value...Tier 3 imo

    Quite right.

Plus I just found out Silvy's newer models are Impervio built...hurts the soul

seasonic are very similar to the new enermax line and they are better then silverstones
the new m12d line is very good and is smaller then the enermax new line of psu's + it has the same efficiency rating!
silverstones are a bit crammed in the inside and there is no power switch which means that it was hard to get everything in to the psu chassis
the good thing about antec signatures is the continuous peak power if i am correct
the tier chart is quite correct but i would put seasonic m12D in the tier 1 because of its similarity to enermax's new line

Check the HardOCP review of Da1000 and OP1000-E, they're Impervio, not Seventeam X_X

The EF Series and a couple of others are the best of Silverstone's products.

Bronze Certified, 60 Amps on 12V Rails, for only $115? Awesome stuff. It is definitely Tier 2 material.

If your Element 750W is anything like the FSP made Element 700W unit just tested at JonnyGuru's website, I certainly wouldn't put it in Tier 2, or 3.....horrible ripple on the +12V rail when loaded......

    Link to review...done Apr. 26, 2009.

Indeed, that looks pretty bad. Definite Tier 3.

With the rig that fuzore has, he should be ok with it. But I have now lost all faith in silverstone. What was once a top notch PSU maker now has an entire line up of sub par products.

Both Topower and Seventeam have been mediocre of late, so I'd say Antec, Enermax, Seasonic, Corsair, etc are better options.

    hey perkam,

only this 2 PSUs available here at about same price, there is also Gigabyte ODIN 800W, but it costs more than the Antec by 30$, does it worth to get the ODIN?

Yep, I'd get the Antec in a heart beat.

The ODINs price premium is due to the bling and unessencial features...Plus, it has lower capacity.

The best at their wattage levels along with the Antec Signature series although the Corsair is ATX while the Antec are CPX which does not fit all cases.

HX 620 and 400 would be Tier 2.

Basically, Tier 1 is meant for the PSUs with the best design and efficiency that can power the average overclocked Xfire/SLI system today (HD 4890 Xfire or GTX 285 SLI for example).
