    Galaxy 9800GT Voltmod

Just got a pair of Galaxy 9800GTs, but they do not match the pictures from the website. The P/N is the same, and most of the stickers are the same, but thats it. The power connector is at the backend of the top of the card, not at the tail. The card also is much shorter then refrence design. The heatsink deisgn is different as well. GPU-Z reads it as a 65nm card, not 55nm.

Anyway, 725Mhz core linked shader is the best it will do. Unlinked I get one more bump from core, but it artifacts a tiny bit. Memory is up to 1050Mhz so far, but dont really care about that. Both of them will be under water this weekend.

Ive never done a hard mod, but want to try with these.
This is the one on the website.

And some high res shots from newegg.

Parts on the PCB do not match the one from newegg pic. Trying to get a good shot of mine.

    EDIT: Pics

Well i ve no idea for the hard mod u r looking for but i d strongly recommend u put some heatsinks on those VRMs before u try anything like voltmodding!!!
U wouldnt want to finally achieve the mod and then have your card die cos of overheating would u?!!!

Have two MCW-60s and Sythe sinks for both cards. Just dont have them on yet.

Some of these were way to small to be 100% right, some 5s might be Ss and some 8s might be 6s etc...

    Incase the picture was blurry,
    Far Left : RT9259A / PSBCC13

    Bottom Right : AT88SC / 08(or 6)08C / .V(or U) 0836
    Top Right : ATMEL912(hardest one to read, M may be H) / 25F512AM / 5(or S)U27
    Far Right : 8BF9TVK / ACT08

If its possible its one of the other chips lmk, they just didnt look like they would be it.

The left one's datasheet says its the PWM controller, so I assume thats it then?

    Pin 4 and 7 measure 570 OHMs.

Found a review of an identicle cards, except in the review there is no 6 pin connector, and there is on mine. And mine are stock at 600/900 clocks.
