Nice result, but you will kill them sticks with 2.6v, see if you can get away with 2.3-2.4v

Nice clocks aslanwas, impressive getting 600 MHz CAS4 32M stable.

    I don't think that's going to happen at 2.3 - 2.4v though.

I have a kit that have been run at 2.5 - 2.78v on air (with fans of course) for at least 15 hours, and I have since stress tested them and they are as good as ever, no degradation at all. Some kits are just more resilient though.

I think you got lucky there. When I used to do some testing for Mushkin I blew a kit of D9GMH up with 2.5v.

Depends how well they clock. From what I know the C5 kits really suck, so no more than about £25 IMO.

With a voltage between 2,5v- 2,78v , the more time will pass, the more your kit will require more volts and can be endommaged even with the best possible cooling

As said Ket, your'e lucky for the moment

    My results:

    Asus P5B dlx
    E2220
    TeamGroup Xtreem DDR2 PC6400 4-4-4-10 +corsair airflow
    Thermaltake toughpower 750W

    Spi 1M :

    600 cas4 dual Channel @ 2,45v

    Maxscreen :

    single 621 Cas 4 @ 2,45v

I'm waiting for ddr maximizer ( vmod dimm of P5B dlx is too dangerous) and a dimm containers(excellent for drice)
I'm wainting also for a patriot gkx kit and P45 UD3R

I'm aware that voltage I stated using will eventually degrade the sticks, but it's not going to kill them instantly or anything like it. I know a few people that have used kits at and around 2.4 - 2.6v on air for many hours with no degradation.

Nice results from the TeamGroup & P5B Dlx. Is that BIOS set voltage or real voltage you stated?

Not sure what you mean by the vdimm mod being too dangerous to do. I used to own one and performed the vmem mod (in addition to the vdroop mod and vMCH mod), and I have to say it was a very easy mod to do, as the mod points are very large and easy to solder to. I simply used a DMM to tune the voltage as I desired and never had an issue. Best of luck with the maximizer if you do decide to go that route.

good idea , i will check it this evening with a voltmetre.

For the P5B deluxe , i have done the vmch, vnb, vcore mod and capacitor mod to sleek the vcore but i'm afraid of the vdimm modd : jmax_oc from Jmax hardware has killed 2 P5B deluxe with the vdimm mod

He killed them doing the mod and making a mistake or by using a high vdimm after the mod? Mine handled up to around 2.6v fine, but I did not use more than that.

One of my Corsair Dominator 10000 sticks gave up the ghost after being run 24/7 at DDR2-1200 with 2.05v. Very odd, although it seems to have died during the transition between power supplies. I wonder if maybe I killed it with ESD? In any case, I wonder what kind of crap Corsair will replace the kit with.

Well the problem is, TWIN2X2048-10000C5DF is EOL since they used D9GMH/D9GKX. Unless Corsair pulls another miracle like they did last year with my 6400C3DF kit, I don't think they'll be replaced with the same thing.

I wouldn't be so sure.. I just left my PC on downloading stuff overnight when I blew that kit of D9GMH up with 2.5v. Woke up next morning to a blue screen. Even with heatspreaders, decent thermal paste and active cooling, I can't recommend over 2.4v if you want any time at all to get some decent clocks out of them. Still, if they didn't cost you much, then your not losing a lot when you do blow them up

I just ordered this kit from Amazon Japan on 8/5 and look what was waiting for me at my parents' house yesterday

It comes with a overclocking/BIOS guide courtesy of the distributor in Japan (Overclock Works).

    A 2009 serial number?!

The last shot of them sealed before exposing them to the cruel world

    Ta-dah!

Now, let's strip these babies naked and see what flavor of Micron lurks underneath those gorgeous heatspreaders...

D9GMH. I must admit, I'm a little disappointed as I was hoping for GKX, but Team 8500 with GMH has shown some insane overclocking potential for others so I'm eager to see what this kit can do!

If built on a good PCB, D9GMH will clock better than D9GKX. My D9GMH kit I got to 1200MHz 4-4-4-12

    it isn't a rule

maybe your gmh kit is better than your gkx kit, but it isn't allways true

We know no IC is created equal, but a good PCB does make quite a large impact. Most GKX ICs won't do 1200+ 4-4-4-12, only 5-5-5-15. GMH ICs on the other hand can do 1200+ 4-4-4-12.

Well, Amazon Japan doesn't ship electronics outside of Japan. I actually had the memory shipped to someone I know who lives there and he shipped it to me via EMS. The shipping was free within Japan from Amazon and the airmail to the US only cost me $15.
