Hell yeh! I'm bored, need another build already This one will be a more transportable (Read <26kg!) HTPC that I can also take to lans with me. AMD Phenom II X2, same MSI board as Snipe has here, and a 4870 Probably stick a tv tuner card in there too (anybody recommend one, was looking at this gigabyte one that seems ok). Not gonna go all out on watercooling this time, distilled only, probably only a 240 rad (only thing to fit into my mid sized case), and of course the frozen Q res.

Lans. . . .. . . Are you sure there are lans here lol.

Oh and just admit it. You are building a whole new system because of that res right? I know the truth >__>.

Hey guys, a HUGE thank you to all of you guys for your support and kind words - I would do a multiquote but I figure I would get a little repetitive

@Dreamaxx: I will be consolidating the build log into a single massive post and spreading it to many forums after the build is finished, the simple fact is I just cant handle maintaining any more active update work logs than I am now.... Its a bit overwhelming really.

@ salty, just by posting in this thread it probably subscribed you in your "User CP" at the top left

    Very nice work SNiiPE!

I just noticed my WMP is borked. . .BIG TIME! All your blue was an eerie orange and red black connectors were teal.

It's looking mighty fine SNiiPE. I love what you did with the 24 pin power cable... the individual holes.

Hey Snipe, is the mounting for AM2 the same as AM3? I ask because the EK Supreme LT (which now comes in very sexy plexi+nickel) has AM2 support. I was wondering if it will also fit the AM3 platform. If anyone would know it'd be you

    really?

do you have to buy a separate Hold down plate or something?

because everywhere i've seen only says 775 and 1366 compatible...i think anyway, lol.

please prove me wrong (show me what ur talking about), cause i think the block looks great.

    thanks.

AM2 and AM3 are the same mounting holes and the plate comes with the supreme -- its still a good idea to get a metal backplate, I used the thermalright

SNiiPE? May I request a smaller version of the vid for those of us whose hardware chokes on the high-res video data?
