I regsitered on imageshack and still waiting for a confirmation email 4 hours later

My memory is 2X1GB OCZ Gold PC2-8500. It is older stuff... Binned Micron D9's.. takes 2.4V to get to rated 1100MHz speed at 555-15.

That means your VID is 1.25v

max is the one you go by, so you have a 1.25vid chip

Oh sure. Shatter my miserable dreams

Either way I am happy to be over 4GHz on air with <1.3V and haven't really started playing with OC settings yet.

Will post if I can get on image shack sometime tonight...

Just got 50 loops pased Intel Burn test @ 450 x 8, damn, this chip looks like love high PLL voltage Still 1.4 fsb voltage (will try lower) + 1.7v PLL, messured the PLL with multimeter and it showed 1.738v under laod, how long do you think this chip will be live? :>

If it dosnt overclock, well, then it must be dead

what's your cpu voltage sitting on? [+0.100v] or [+0.75v]?

the C1E is in 2 different ares of the bios you only have to disable it in either or not both..lol

Lets hope it is just a bad fsb hole with this cobo, never had problems on my 65nm quads

I had the same combo and also 450 was the maximum stable fsb I could achieve with reasonable voltages. If you have a good lower voltage chip maybe you should consider other motherboard for it.

But its strange, 445 FSB is easy at low voltages on all setings, next 450 is hard and 460 is hard to boot, 1.7 pll, 1.4 fsb, 1.7 nb and 1.2sb, still nothing, maybe 4 x 2Gb memory is the problem...

GLT changes also do nothing, i think its the bad CPU I got, it sensors are bad and VID also is realy bad (1.275v for 45nm), but still testing, I have 1.8v PLL still to test

chipset limitation my friend, thats all. I assume you have selected .67 gtl in mch. The cpu gtl adjustments barely do anything in that board. I had also tried with 2 gb and the results were the same.

My Q9550@3.4 GHz was running for 4h30, The max FFTs size is 8k (instead of 64), do you think my CPU is stable ?

Linx also test hard CPU stability, but Prime95 with small FFTs is good test for CPU. I test all of them, after all Prime95 Blend for 12+ hours.

My Q9550 is now running at 3.4 GHz, Vcore 1.21V (with LLC), Vnb 1.26V, Vtt 1.26V, Vpll 1.52V.
Is Prime95 for 4h30 (FFTs max at 8kb) enough to check the stability ?

Your running settings fairly similair as mine was at 3.4ghz, though i always run p95 small fft for 8 hours for cpu stability, followed by 8 hours of blend.

Very nice vivid, if i can eek 4ghz out of my q9550 ill be extremely happy, 4870x2 looks nice, unfortunately i couldnt afford one at the time, so i had to settle for a gtx 280, not bad for my res of 1920x1200, plays all my games at an ok rate, but if i seen a 4870x2 on auction, id have it quicker than dinner lol.
