TooFastForYa: I dont know of anyone that has run 200dPL8 but maybe I am wrong. I have to use Pl9 for 200d or it will not pass.
I would run 600MHz too but EVP is only 1.85 and my 9200 blades also need about 1.9v for 600MHz so I'm not sure about it...

I've jumped onto the TRUE bandwagon guys - a good 15C cooler than my Zalman 9700. Epic win.

I posted a thread here in the Air Cooling subforum demonstrating the lapping and installation of my new toy, and finishing with a comparison between the Zalman and the TRUE.

OK so I thought I was making good progress, getting 1 hour of Prime blend at 4.3GHz. I've not changed a single setting and now when I prime I get a fail on core 4 within a few seconds.

Could it be corruption in the OS that is responsible for the failure? I was going to leave prime running overnight.

Only gained 1 FPS after changing from 3GHz to 4.8GHz.
The once the DX11 cards are released this 9800 GTX is getting a one way ticket to the closet.

Seriously, if it's the Maximus II responsible for messing me around I'll have a UD3P by tomorrow, it's that simple. Upgrading is what I do, and if I'm gonna keep this rig for a year+ it needs to remain stable for more than a day.

I'm gonna run memtest first, and if that doesn't sort it I'll probably reformat because there is a chance that my OS is screwing things up too.

I was playing HL2 last night and had a bad crash, not a BSOD, but the monitor went black and everything started behaving strangely, and it's only since then that Prime has started to fail within a few seconds.

Lenny i only telling you what was my nightmare on that board and remember regretting myself why not just going for the cheap UD3P...when i started seeing what the UD3P can do i inmediately sold it, first day it comes put my quad at 4005 with 1,18vcore and remaint hours stable on blend...wich on the formula II was impossible, played that stable not stable game every time, later i talked with some guys here that told me some had horrible PWM regulation and other things...thats my story, maybe its not your but for sure you will do more than fine on a cheap UD3P

    Cheers mate

    Found the culprit:

Hopefully one of my memory sticks isn't dead, they are brand new

EDIT: Memtest86+ shows no errors after 2 passes... I'm gonna try some stress testing at stock speed to see if Windows is screwed.

Tested with LinX at stock speed, no errors, so looks like the OS is fine.

Can't believe Prime is failing within just a few seconds when yesterday it was stable for two hours at exactly the same settings.

I have never tried this test before so Im not sure what I'm doing. Just left everything default and ran full screen tropics bench. It shows 4.5ghz but actually it is 4.25ghz-500x8.5 1:1 mem.

    Hello guys

I tried to improve my ram frequency but unfortunately my ram seems to hate o/c
Therefore I have to stay at 1:1
Nevertheless I tried to increase the pll and it allows me to reduce vcore.

    CPU Voltage : 1,29
    CPU PLL Voltage : 1.52
    FSB Termination Voltage : 1,28
    DRAM Voltage : 1.80
    NBridge Voltage : 1.24
    SBridge Voltage : 1,10
    PCIE SATA Voltage : 1,50

    Stable under LinX and OCCT

    That's a nice OC scarnhorst, 4.2GHz under 1.3v.

I was having trouble earlier today with my OC of 4.3GHz but I changed my NB GTL fro +50mv to +30mv and Prime blend was fine for 6 hours. I can probably tweak it further to reduce vcore but not by much, I reckon 1.36 at best.
