Making good progress - 4.2GHz now 1hr Prime blend stable with 1.325v in BIOS.

Haven't really tweaked it yet... PLL and NB could be a lot lower I think, and possibly vcore too. All CPU GTLs are auto.

    Hello Guys,

    Here is my oC :

    Asus P5Q deluxe bios 1306

    2*2Gb Gi-Skill Pi Black 8500
    POV 8800 GTS640
    PSU : Corsair HX520
stable under OCCT, OCCT PSU test, and LinX

    CPU Voltage : 1,30000
CPU GTL Voltage Reference (0/2) : AUTO
CPU GTL Voltage Reference (1/3) : AUTO
    CPU PLL Voltage : 1.50
    FSB Termination Voltage : 1,28
    DRAM Voltage : 1.80
    NBridge Voltage : 1.24
    NBridge GTL Reference : AUTO
    SBridge Voltage : 1,10
    PCIE SATA Voltage : 1,50

It will have to make some improvements that I obtained on the P5Q deluxe Thread

    Thanks man

Currently testing stability at 4300MHz using 4x super pi 32m, not exact in round, not convergent in sqr etc

I'm gonna wait till late at night to Prime at 4300MHz, low ambient temp

Here is what used to have :

One block for almost everything, nb, cpu, mosfets... It was good for light overclocking but i couldnt find stability above 4200-4250, that was the peak. I could bench or prime test with 1.40vcore but core temps could hit 90c So, priming was forbidden with high vcore.

A big difference in temps, more room to push higher now. The new Blocks look great.

Never tested 8.5 multi before but testing with OC Nub pushed me to do it lol, seems to like it needed more volts on the MCH and vdimm but this is my first attempt

    stuck at 4300

cant get stable even at 4.35- I stuck and can get up!

    Heres where I'm at:

    478x9=4300

    CPU

    vcore 1.343
    term 1.26
    pll 1.45
    ref .863

    MCH

    v 1.32
    ref .798

    Ram ( g.skill lv 9600s, 4x2gb, 2.4b )

    v 1.8
    ref .9

    all others auto

have booted up to 4550, but not able to do more than 1 run intel burn. At settings above I can run prime 95 overnight at temps in low to mid 60s, 50 runs of intelburn at temps in high 70s to low 80s. NB run about 3 degrees hotter under load. 4300 is rock solid stable for everything- stress test, benchmarking, gaming, multitasking, etc. But I want more!! Am I maxed out due to temps?

I have tried literally hundreds of combination and logged results to try and find a trend. I need some guidance on how to slowly move the clock up to at least 4500-if it is possible on air that is....

    thanks all

    stuck in seattle

tried your settings, hoss- and it wont even post!

messed around with it some and found that the advanced mem settings were the biggest holdup. it also seems my processor likes less volts but more reference.

too late, will try again tomorrow...

    thx

Thanks. Ive had it for a couple months now, just havent bothered to play with it much other than some air max clock runs.

    everest scores for 469*9.5 1250 PL7 on Extreme are 10441R, 9955W, 10305C and 47.1L
turbo never seemed to make a difference for me but extreme surely does

Lol HOSS that is a X3380 cpu and this is the Q9650 thread so because of the OT nobody really answered or nobody really know how a X3380 should clock.

I already asked for ya to ship that to me and we can compare results on the appropriate thread...
