Do both for sure! I really like that aspect of your log (the first big post). I think it's a good idea though ban cap users would certainly appreciate both.

I was planning on eventually making my 1st posts in such a manner in addition with updating as I go along.

I thought it would be more organised, and save people having to trawl through pages and pages of posts to see how the build progresses (I know that annoys me sometimes).

But it means one giganta-post when it is the culmination of a 7mth build like this one is! And yes, I am sure the people with a set amount of quota don't appreciate it

Can anyone help me, I'm trying to find that post I think by Skinnee about series pumps? Had some good graphs in it etc. Was it comparing series versus parallel and also dual pump tops? Would much appreciate if someone could chuck me the link coz I can't find it using search

So here are some ALMOST finished pics. When I have finished the last little bit of sleeving that is required (just waiting on some sleeving from MurderMod), then I will put up some better photos. These ones just taken with my crappy point and shoot, and so they're not very impressive. But you can at least see the layout, and some close ups of the hardware. Enjoy!













I removed all the little backplates from my cards and got them and my aero-slots powdercoated to match the interior of the case.



Now it looks really attractive from the back as well!

Must have missed this update while I was away. That looks awesome!! Will you be lighting up the top acrylic panel? I think that would make the stars stand out more.

Ugh I have this issue right now with memory leak - this process audiodg.exe just using up ALL my ram. Something to do with Vista 64x and Xfi not being compatible coz Creative refused to make proper drives for Vista for whatever reason. So I basically have to turn all the after effects off that the sound card does in order to stop it. Super annoying

Does ANYONE know a proper fix for this? I've trawled through google, and the only "fix" i've found is to disable all sound blaster enhancements.

Yes. Remove card. Smash repeatedly with large hammer.

Seriously though, use on-board sound or buy something not made by Creative. Its unlikely you can tell the difference between the on-board or the extra card. But if you must, both Asus and Auzentech make excellent sound cards that have far less issues in Vista.

I was able to tell a difference when I installed my soundblaster over the on-board audio. I am still running Win XP as i have refused to deal with all those issues from Vista

LOL maxx, where were you during the Creative forum floods? Basically a lot of people went there and complained when Creative threatened to sue a guy who had made his own drivers to make Creative products work on Vista. The stuff was hilarious.

Solution - sell card, buy something else [that isn't Creative or based on their models]. Asus to the rescue.

TBH Creative probably didn't think it through... I wonder how many customers they lost because they were so stubborn.

FFUUUUUUUUU.... Had my first mishap... Hard gaming session, didn't realise the fans had TURNED OFF on my radiators (supposedly controlled by my scythe fan controller). Bastard thing has just randomly stopped working. Computer overheated a LOT, as in blocks too hot to touch, smelled very very hot inside the case, scary as all hell. I turned the thing off as quickly as I could (it had blue screened to warn me though) and shoved a massive fan onto the whole thing and left it for a while. That is the second time this idiot fan controller has done something bad. I have no idea why, but I can't check ALL the wiring to the fan controller very well unless I pull my entire PC apart to do so (I have all the molex cables and plugs hidden underneath EVERYTHING. From what I can see it is all plugged in as it should be, I will check the plug which goes into the PSU tomorrow but that's about it.

I have had enough of the problems this bloody scythe controller has caused me... I am going to change to something more reliable like the aquero or the bigNG or even the koolance TMS-200 if the problems have been ironed out of it... I need something that is going to TURN OFF my PC if the fans fail. The reason I had turned off the beep warning on the stupid scythe controller was because the damn thing would go off all the time even though the fans were fine. And that got incredibly annoying after a while. This has almost cost me my PC, and I hope to god there is not permanent damage. I'm not sure how to check, everything seems to be working ok, but does anyone have any ideas on how I can check. There is a yellow light on my motherboard that wasn't there before, not sure what it means, will look it up in the morning.

Anyway! What do you guys suggest I get? I really like the Aquero, but I have the koolance flow meter and a bitspower temp sensor... Not sure if they will work with the aquero, but i don't think the BP temp sensor works correctly with the TMS... Any and ALL recommendations are greatly appreciated, please send them my way! (PS, I have very limited space for this controller to sit, so if you can tell me how big they are, i.e. if it will fit in a 3.5" bay etc. then that would be wonderful too). I am off to do some research!!

PS... If everyone reckons the Aquero is the best, then I will use the koolance flow sensor in my other PC, and stick an aquero one in Pegasus...

Sorry to hear about your problem... hopefuly everything turns out of for the best. Did you have the temp shutdown setup on your motherboard..?

This example of the fan controller failing has me thinking of creating some sort or fail over system where I would control two sets of fans on two seperate controllers. Just in case on goes down the other one has the possibility of still working, instead of relying on a single unit.

I was looking into the TMS200, but from what i've seen it seems buggy at the moment and maybe waiting for it to mature. The aquaero looks better since they added that powerboost functionality to it. Can't wait to see what you choose so it at least give me more input on both. I have the aquaero at the moment , but have been able to use it and its the older revision.
