No, no luck. I hope to get one from the new batch that's mentioned in the Q9650 thread a while ago by a German guy. Maybe this batch is going to be available in Belgium too. I asked my computer parts dealer to look for that batch.
I reseated my CPU last week but it didn't help to get my Q9450 Linx stable again at 8 X 465MHz. It sucks and I hope to have a Q9650 really soon to have some fun again.
Nice cooling blocks that you've got there.![]()
One set of ballistix tracers 800, can't do 600mhz.
575 is stable around 2.2 - 2.25v, 600 is no go even at 2.5v.
Maybe it's just a degraded set of d9, maybe it's me who can't stable them, but with old promos I haven't got such problems.
And about testing I'm testing memory using Memtest #5 test, at least 30 loops.

Yoh Alien-Grey,
I am glad that you are back on stage again!
If I can help you out about buying a Q9650 on the german market just send me an e-mail![]()

Here's some good news. I'm running stable again at 8 X 465MHz with DDR 1239MHz and tRD 6. The CPU Voltage is the same as it was before at 1.36250V.
The problem was the DRAM slots. I'm using the white slots now, B1 and B2 with DRAM CLK Skew on Channel B delayed with 50ps. This combination seems to work very well with the G.SKILL F2-9600CL5D-4GBPI Memory.
I still don't understand how changing to the other slots fixes the stability problems with Linx.![]()

Thank you guys for your greatings.
Well, It took a little time to get my head around all these bios options.
But there ist still one thing that bothers me- the 400 strap won´t work as well as I supposed. My intension was to oc my G.Skills over 1200 Mhz driving a 465 MHz fsb.
I will open up a question in the DFI thread before the admin. is slaping me in the head.

What you mean with it doesn't work as you supposed? Instabilities or what?
BTW: MCH voltage is key to stability with quad and 600+ mem.

Yes, that´s what I meant. I´ve got freezes and BSODths.

As I said in my last post MCH voltage is the key to get stability, imo you will need to use at least 1.55-1.6v to get it stable.

No I'm not surprised, but X48 has its own rules.

I agree with mikeyakame that ~1.4v is pretty high to the nb but I don´t think it is to much English for the 24/7 use.
The voltage is shown up red because the program "smart guardian" does so by using more than 1.35v. That doesn´t mean it will demage your nb immediately, it is just a warning for the user.
