The MSI X58 Pro-E I won for the Lords of Overclocking event arrived today in the mail. Looks like I have to purchase a Core i7 975 now as I promised myself if I received a board I'd compete

We got a MSI Eclipse as a prize today, not the one we will use in DE. But after a few hours of "nothing works" it has behaved nicely. As good as my UD-5 and RE II.

Good to hear that. I've been reluctant to even open my box, as I thought I'd sell it right away. Maybe I'll put it in my 24/7 rig and pull out the Bloodrage for benching duties.

I already have enough issues with Francois and policy issues, I stayed out of that thread We also can't use ES chips for the North American qualifier

Now i need to know... What were the positive points. It wasn't all that great in the qualifiers. We had some nice scores though!

I recive today mobo and gfx. But wtf, where is cpu and mems? Great organization like always MSI!! ing great job and great employees who don't know anything about event, IT, overclocking ect.

And yes, event will start in next 9 days and almost all overclockers don't have hardware at home

I can take it easy when we have 1-2 months to event, but not 9 days! Like always organization is very bad in MSI. They must learn a lot from Gigabyte.

Now i need to know... What were the positive points. It wasn't all that great in the qualifiers. We had some nice scores though!

My sample at home did 227MHz BCLK 3D stable with my ancient C0/C1 .

Our hw should be there tomorrow...crossing fingers ! Like Ryba said, 9 days to prepare insulation/vmods/tweaks and discover the hardware is really really short. I hope the organisation during the event will be better

Damn.. I think MSI was too quick with this timetable. We dont have any time to prepare, cause I will leave my house on thursday and then I will come back and fly directly to munich.
