Way to go msi![]()
I always thought it was only mainboard and vga, but 260, not 285
My hw will arrive mid-week (according to MSI-FR)...Crossing fingers to have the right hw![]()
I think MSI decided to use the GTX285 rather than the GTX260. But it's very hard to find the correct vmods for the 285. We used it in the dutch finales and we couldnt find any voltmods for it. I hope some people are willing to share if they find them....
Hey people,
The reason the nordic countries got a N285GTX is as a price, decided by their marketing person, they will receive a lightning this week as well. As I sent all of you in a word file (for the countries that are under our office) we will use Eclipse SLI and 260GTX Lightning for MOA and you will also receive a CPU and set of memory at home. The memory we will use is: OCZ DDR3 PC3-17000 Blade Series CL9 Edition Low Voltage Triple Channel.
If there is any uncertainty, please just contact me through this forum or email (everyone in countries supported by our office have my email address; since I sent you all an email last week) then I can clarify any issue.
MSI MOTHERBOARD!!!
@Marco, thanks for the information. But how many teams will advance to the next round in Beijing? Is there just one team that will advance, or will there be multiple teams?
That's not what's writing in the rules...:/

Strange but i all have different informationAll overclockers will use the same hardware components to tweak, bench and modify: MSI Eclipse SLI, MSI N260GTX Lightning, Intel® Core™ i7 950 CPU, Seagate Hard disc drive and OCZ DDR3 memory. The top 5 of this event will pass to the worldwide Master Overclocking Arena 2009, to be held in Beijing in August.![]()
Yep. My contact send me a 6 pages document which says that there will be only one team....All this story is strange !
I believe it's 5. There will be 20 teams in Bejing, it would be strange to only have 1 from Europe and the other 19 from Asia, USA and China.![]()
You are right, it does says that the winner of the event goes to China. This is wrong, it is indeed the top 5 of Europe that will proceed to the Global finals. Sorry for that mistake![]()
MSI MOTHERBOARD!!!

We got a MSI Eclipse as a prize today, not the one we will use in DE. But after a few hours of "nothing works" it has behaved nicely. As good as my UD-5 and RE II.
The website of MOA 09 speak about top 2 qualified, and each team can pick a team mate...so 4 teams from EU in the grand finale....
1, 2, 4, 5, 6 teams ?????
Probably 2 overclockers + 2 partners = 2 teams of 2 people
Where courage, motivation and ignorance meet, a persistent idiot awakens.
