OMG....what are the chances?.....that must be a sign from above....maybe #13 is unlucky afterall.....for the sake of the wildlife around your humble abode...grills may be in order (i still can not beleive that the GR slept through another presence in the house...both of mind would have gone nuts!)

Unfortunately, our little Coocker (dang those bananas) Spaniel, Maggie, passed away last week. Don't be sad - she was queen of the household for 17 years, and we feel fortunate to have had her in our lives. As for the Golden Retriever being a bird dog ... ***sigh***, love him to death, but he just lies in front of the patio door and watches the birds walk into the house. He's also afraid of water, and won't go near the pool, unlike our previous Goldens.

That's strange for Golden, I've got a labrador that was afraid of water, because when he was like 1.5 year old he saw 2 dogs playing in park canal. So he jumped to play with them, but he forgot that there could be deep, and he was xtremely stressed by this accident and didn't wanted to swim anywhere.
