TBH, you can be part of that mob too if you want... anyone can, you just have to spend hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours OC'ing and make a name for yourself.

Handing these out to just any old schmoe would be the same as having a dirt track racer from the county fair drive a car in the indy 500. It's just a waste. You have to prove your skills first, THEN you get all of the cool goodies.

Very cool video, thanks for posting!

A side note, Simon, are you allowed to show pics of the internals of Vince's prototype pot?

We still do not know the magic recipe for creating or screening processors that excel at extreme low temperatures. We continue to experiment. We have not been able to create an artificial K|ngp|n, SF3D, or chew*.

These processors have some of the electrical properties known to contribute to extended scaling at extreme temperatures. By giving these parts to people who know how to push them we learn. Look at the past 6 months. The innovation in cooling technology alone over the past six months has been staggering.

There are enough of these out there, all in good hands, that I am sure the community will be passing these around. I think there is an opportunity for those who really want one to ultimately get their hands on one.

Results will vary. At these frequencies small differences can make or break scaling and we do not know how to screen for these attributes save by the methods you have developed. These chips are out of specification processors that would have been scrapped. Now they are in the right hands.

I would muster a guess that vince is not worried as it was only a prototype and not his final revision......I'm sure he has changed it quite a few times now.

Yeah, sorry, no offense meant, I just know how precautious he was about the danger of leaking pics of F1's internals.

No. And I have to say a lot of information out there right now on 965 is not correct.
