I'll be getting one this week. Just bought it at Dell for $158 (w/ coupon code) while NewEgg was selling it for $159 then I looked back earlier today at NewEgg and it went to $167... (for the E8400).

I'll post up results when it comes in .

radaja, that's a great chip. have you tried max clocks on air for it? tried running SPi 1M at 5ghz? your chip looks very capable of that. and planning to ever sell it at a premium?

thanks guys,it is indeed the UD3R.i was without internet for two weeks
    and it almost killed me
i havent tried going higher than 1.39v yet.but i will and see how high i can go on air

and as to this "and planning to ever sell it at a premium?" you never know
with my job instability lately,it could very well be on the market at a moments notice

Still breaking in the CPU, got it this afternoon .
    Q845A837

    3.6GHz (400x9) 1.12V

    3.8GHz (423.3x9) 1.168V

    4.0GHz (445x9) 1.248V

    4.0GHz (445x9) 1.248V using IBT

Still in testing phase and yes I know I rushed through the lower speeds (will go back to them) but so far 4.0GHz@1.248V is running strong. Going to do more IBT runs.

I think I'm limited by my motherboard and my cooling... Heck its a CNPS9500! lol

Q845A837 bought it yesterday from Dell.

thank you! how many volts your cpu @ 4.2Ghz requires to pass at least 20 min of LinX/IBT?

    Bye!

My trusty ol' C0 E8400 made it to 4.82Ghz today. I think i may have had the voltage a little higher than what it needed. I think it was the ram and/or the NB making it unstable.

    It was 1.58v under load.

    http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=614668

    I get 4.0 stable at 1.248v.. not too bad for a C0

    Hey guys,

    I am just reporting here::

For all those wondering about lifetime of overclocking etc.

    I have an E8500 C0 Overclocked to 4.250Ghz, @ 1.45Volts, down to 1.42with vdroop.

Temperature range is from 30C to 50C.

So, the CPU has lasted me for over 1 year now, running 24/7 stable. So

Will your E8500/E8400 last for more than a year on 1.45V? Yes it will!

I am jealous you guys. Damn NICE overclocks. 1.25V @ 4.25Ghz!!! Thats insane. At 1.45V i bet u can get close to 5Ghz, 24/7 stable clock!!!
I am thinking if I should sell my C0, and go for a E8500 E0! get like 5Ghz 24/7 clock

Its not only that but the NB and the cooling that come into account once you start getting to these speeds. Voltage isn't everything

My motherboard is the Biostar Tpower i45, which got the world record overclock with my E8500 cpu i think..

I guarantee your cpu will last AT LEAST 1 year on 1.45V. My estimate is that at 1.45V it will last for at least 3 years. We'll see
