    C-state OFF = Lower RAM/CPU performance!!!!

    i have strange problem!

i read an article at TOM'S HARDWARE GUIDE about Does Power-Saving Technology Kill SSD Performance? .
Any way after testing i found it it's right.

after Disabling C-state the performance back to what i should expect from my ssd, and that was a good news.
but i found the performance of my RAM become low! along with the cpu performance.
here with normal c-stat is on

    after disabling c-stat
    Memory read reduced to 18GB.
    Mem Write to around 14500MB!

    but L3 Cache increased
read increased to 30GB, Write increased to 25GB from 17GB ... and the Latency to around 3.7ns also.

in CINEBENCH 10 my score with c-stat On was around 22k now after disabling it turned to around 20k~19K!.

current setting for the Ram :
    Ocz Blade DDR3 DDR2000 cl9 -> 1645 cl7 (1.65v)
    MB: Asus P6T-D v2.
    -------

    I don't now why!
C-state should work as power-saving tech. only!

    any idea what's wrong here?

On mine, spi runs are faster with c1e/c3/c6 disabled, everest read/write/copy/latency/etc same whether disabled or enabled.

At stock only on my mobo, enabling c3/c6 will allow multi to do +2 turbo, but looks like you have turbo disabled, so probably not that, and you are overclocked which should prevent that from happening as well. But you could download unclewebbs turbo program, run it at same time and make sure multi is not higher when running with c states enabled.

Also did you try to repeat this several times with different boots?

    Hmm this is strange yea.

I have i7 860 on a P7P55D Deluxe. and have C-state enabled and i get better reads and writes to in Everest.

But only if i set it to C6 state, if set to C3 or C1 then the writes are normal (lower)

3,8Ghz overclocked i7 860: All power savings are off because its overclocked.

    Reads C-State Off 15781 MB/s
    Reads C-State On (C6) 18252 MB/s
Test take little longer when C-State are on (maybe because that i dunno)

What is the best option to set then ?
Does it matter if i leave it at C6 state because better reads and writes ?
Or can i set it better off because i have a Vertex 2 SSD ?
The power savings are off, so i don't know if the C6 state do change the results of my SSD.

Any idea's what to do best for my situation ?

    Edit:

Here a screen of a test of C-State and a SSD:

First screen is C-State On second screen is C-State Off
