In the end it's all words - and in a gallery it's quiet in general. You go there, look, get something out of it and leave. Some could say that everything a human took in his hands to make a unique item out of it with the goal to get something beautiful for his eyes is an artwork. But it's just words - everyone has his own interpretation. So let's just do.

Thats a really good point Nils. In a sense once an MDPC becomes an MDPC it is art (in terms of soundood's definition)- by that I mean it goes to the gallery in photographic form and it sits there to serve no other purpose than looking beautiful.

A big moment for computer design in my opinion, (based on a 2006 build) - rebuild in 2009 just for MDPC and this answers the question about "what makes a computer a MDPC?" pretty good Big congratulations to Pius, who - in my opinion - changes "the game". Impressive that he built this concept already in 2006. Far ahead of its time and now even better.

Here we go with another world-premiere: MDPC 031 @ www.million-dollar-pc.com

Be inspired - no matter if you like it or not!

The one block design was by someone else as far as I remember. The one-block design system fell down during the MDPC photoshoot ... not kidding.

But let's focus on 031 "Edelweiss". There is so much inspiration in it - it's marvelous. Even more when you consider that it was basically done in 2006 (in black color at that time). I asked him for better photos and then he said: It's taken apart in the cellar. 2 weeks and a red-sleeve-pack from me later he came up with "I just rebuild it and changed almost everything" That guy is just "the man": No talk - just actions!

    ePOWER EP-2000P10-T3 REVIEW at www.newegg.com

Pros: Powering my computer along with my air conditioner and my refrigerator, and I used it to jump start my truck once.

Cons: The only problem was the FBI at my door saying something about knocking out power for the east coast...not sure what thats about.

Camera is not important if the system is uber-inspiring. He just improvised as most do. Don't need more than a 250$ cam: http://www.million-dollar-pc.com/sys...-edelweiss.htm

nope too bad there isn't one - Pius doesn't hang out in communities - he just builds He didn't even write anything when I requested photos of the 2006 system ... he just built a new one and then send me a mail telling me that he didn't do new photos - but that he rebuilt the system Interesting man I must say!

I totally agree. A few days ago, I asked my dad for some money so I can buy a DSLR (I am only 14!!!!!!!!), and he said, "A best photographer can take the best picture with the worst camera." He also told me to take a look at David Burnett's photography of Al Gore in 2001, and I could not believe that the picture was taken with a Holga! Well, at this point, I HAD to agree with him since he had a master degree at the UCLA school of films

if computers normally looked that awesome, more people would buy them as showpieces.

I counted 4 TJ-07s amongst the 30+ rigs on MDPC. Of those, 3 were by Charles - and each one tops the one before, and 1 by dualbrain.

If a person is aiming to get on MDPC, I think it will be doubly hard using a TJ-07. They've been done by the best, and most of us will just be copying. There are many beautiful TJ-07 builds that are not on MDPC - not because they aren't wonderfully done, but because they aren't necessarily unique and advancing the process. That takes away nothing from these builds. I'd be proud to have one sitting on my desk.

(Note, this is just my 2 cents / assumption)
