Sem: Most Core i7 CPUs start to thermal throttle and slow down at 100C. Any temperature below that is fine as long as your computer is stable. If Intel thought you were going to hurt one of their CPUs at this temperature then they would lower the thermal throttling point. The bean counters don't like RMA returns.
no sorry it was the last one but www.pctweaker.de have one with this batch.

Hmm, I just ordered a 3849A832, so I'll be able to do a head-to-head comparison against my 3845B026.
Is anyone putting up a list like we had with the S775's ? I'm getting a brand new 950 tomorrow, though I have no idea for batch. The one I get just has to be good. After 3 normal CPu's I hope it's time to get something decent for once :p
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

I noticed my chip doesn't get hotter with high voltage, I can run 3.80Ghz with 1.25v with max temp 77c, and 4GHz 1.28v my max temp 80c
chip can do 4Ghz with 1.26v, it passed 25 passes LinX but it is not 100% stable, I have to up vcore to 1.28v for 100% stability, also temps are same with 1.26v or 1.28v, is 1.28v fine for 4GHz?
I'm using True120 unlapped

Hi phsinc1
>temp is high? I'm getting same temp @ same speed with 1.28v Vcore
A hot day leads to Japan.
Air-conditioning is not used.
Though CPU is also hot
These chips ROCK!! 3849B018 ON AIR, CLOSED CASE !!!
how can you find out what the VID is for these the new realtemp and coretemp..doesnt tell
If you are only hitting low 70C's that's perfectly fine for Core i7's.
Insane chip by the way, what are you cooling it with?!
