Very cool to see Futuremark acting on this also! I would have assumed OPB himself would remove the results after he himself admitted to have cheated - but it was FM who had to do the dirty work.
There are already weird speculations on reasons, explanations and excuses for why OPB cheated - In my mind none of this matters - point is - he clearly cheated, and it has been proven beyond any doubts to the involved entities. He has stood up to the accusations and accepted the consequences. Everything else is just smoke and mirrors. Hwbot.org has clear rules that have not been abided by - end of story.
back to benching

With that sig, pretty sure everyone forgives you :p
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved
Remark : They call me Pro AsusSaaya yupp, I agree
Just my 2 cents. OPB as a person to me in the past was extremely helpful with the original sets of team extreme ram, and I spoke to him personally great guy. I have all the respect in the world for him as a person and human being. But, I agree with HWbot and I believe he should be banned from any competion or public benching in the future. Not only do his results cheat with scores/teams/points but it leads people in the wrong direction and gives them false hopes regarding overclocking results. Cheaters never prosper. I am glad the mistakes were admitted and that all of this can just move away and be forgotten. He should def never be allowed back in the benching arena with the prominent benchers like vince, fugger, vapor, andre, hipro, gautam, etc. etc. sorry if I forgot anyone but you get the point. No cheater ever belongs in the same sentence with those gentleman.

SVTSnake.com Head Honcho
i remember talking to people about him probably 4 years ago, if not longer. there were quite a few high end benchers back then that didnt trust him or his results.
hard to believe he made it this long really. great to see he finally got caught and will be erased from the high end elite overclockers
P.S. Hey Ron how ya been?![]()

Hey CCC what's up buddy. Well put but what i find even more shocking is that the guy still expects people to take him seriosuly because he "apologized". IMO he's been hacking for years and deserves all the crap he gets.
You wanna be compared to real legends like DJ, macci, OPP, Randi, Holicho, Kyosen, Highwayman etc you gotta put real work in around here, boy.

Omastar had just come back from a long ban the day before and knew damned well that telling a Admin to STFU was essentially self-banning..
And the killer to me personally is that it was to Ron who is really one of the most laid back nice people you'll ever meet.. yea, he banned himself, Fugger just dotted the I's and crossed the T's..

Bed time ~ the bell curve: the older you get, the longer you're allowed to be up. However, if you pass a certain age, you have to go to bed sooner.
I guess you're past that critical age, Movieman![]()

Not defending anyone but you do remember performance bios where you could get way better 1M time? Initially nobody knew about it
And who said that similar bios/MCH bar/spd or whatever modifications cant be done? For example, mch editing were popular on 965 to get a boost. But maybe that was not all, maybe there is more. The fact is that many people don't know that. And as far as I know OPB had a good contact with Oscar Wu and we all know who he is
But will stress this again, I am not defending anyone here, just stating that there certainly are more advanced tweaks/changes that can be done.

Woot... then we have to congratulate him for P965 memory controller hub tweaking?I know quite well how this came on the scene, and nobody else was aware of the involved registers before this was shown publicly. The fact that Monteboy created an app that uses few of these modifications doesn't mean that the discovery came form OCX. There are certainly lots of talented guys there, but nobody from there is involved in this discovery.
