    Great shot lkiller123!

BeepBeep2: You'd really profit from having an SLR, I'd seriously recommend having that talk with your parents. Direct them to this forum or to me personally Cameras such as a Nikon D40 or the Canon equivalent can be had for quite cheap, a very worthwhile investment.

From sunday. Weather sucked and there wasn't much light. Tripod or flash was a must-have. As I don't own the second I had to live with a long exposure-time and some blurred pictures (the butterflies didn't hold still very often).

    # Camera Model = Canon EOS 450D
    # Lens = Sigma EX DG 105 mm Makro
    # Exposure Time (1 / Shutter Speed) = 1/25 second = 0.04 second
    # Lens F-Number/F-Stop = 5/1 = F5
    # ISO Speed Ratings = 200
    # Exposure Bias (EV) = -1/3 = -0.33
    # Flash = Flash did not fire, compulsory flash mode
    # Focal Length = 105/1 mm = 105 mm
Notice any grammar or spelling mistakes? Feel free to correct me! Thanks

damn, i remember when i was 14, i was lucky if i squeezed out enough allowance for a movie...

i wanted do build plastic models but due to funds, i resorted to balsa wood, razor blade and sand paper and kept myself busy...

you guys have a lot of years ahead of you... don't rush it... more and better opportunities will come... trick is, learning to see an opportunity when it peeks its head...

but great pics... both the deck of cards and the pencil... wow... very nice...

I'm turning 14 on July 3rd. I'm in dire need of a DSLR + kit lens, and decent 70-300mm lens...would be nice.

lkiller123: I like the picture, it's quite unusual. The colors are great and it's one of those pictures where one can't decide if it was posed or not. You seem to have a really good grasp of that camera, shame that you're giving it away.

lol. i missed this post before. yea unless i'm using artificial light or it's really sunny with a light subject i'm usually around 640 ISO. unless it's really dark i don't really get any noise until i'm above 2000 ISO. however, i think if i slow the shutter speed way down i may be able to get rid of more blur from the fence.
