    Thanks gaidin

the differences came only from kind of cooling...
2D was cooling with Dice (-65°C outside the pot) and now 3D with the Single Stage (-45°C@Eva).
I think with Dice or better LN2 this 950 will run ~5250MHz or perhaps 5300MHz through 3D.
Heard from a friend that his 975 has coldbug@-120°C but in 3D06 CPU Test its running@-135°C - this new D0 CPUs scales very good with cold

Thx jAkUp are you the other one?

EVGA was always for enthusiast but Classified is a piece of art - pushing a i7 was never so easy...

Congrats mate this is really impressive...

Think i have to test with only one memory module too

At the moment i try to get sub7min in Super PI 32M:

Single Stage -43°C@Load (no tweaks yet - only maxmem=600)

Pushing uncore helps a lot in 32M - this run is as fast as my Dice run @5250MHz with low uncore - so with 5250MHz + Uncore + CW i think i can break 7min barrier...

    Afrokalle,
Your superpi performance screen is every bit as impressive as my max clock!

Can you explain "maxmem=600" ? I can find no 'maxmem' setting in BIOS. Also, is it possible to get lower than 16x uncore?

    Thanks! roller11

Maxmem is set in OS (msconfig/bootini/advanced).

    Nice scores Afrokalle

If I'm not mistakin if you disable QPI Controller Setting this will give you a lower uncore.

    Thanks roller11 & loc.o

@drnip: if you disable QPI Controller Setting you will get a lower QPI Link Speed - some call it slow mode...
your uncore must memory speed x2 - so if you use memory multiplier x8 the lowest uncore multiplier is x16 (cpu-z shows uncore as nb frequency) - but you can choose a higher uncore multiplier to get faster L3 Latencies.

your i7 950 seems to be pretty nice clocker considering that your using only an SS to cool down that freaking hot i7 chip

    Thx mate
i´ll test the 950 at the weekend with some liquid nitrogen

Tested yesterday the 920 with Dice again, and this CPU seems to be a nice clocker too...

Load VCore was around 1.45V for this speed:

    wPrime 1024M:

    wPrime 32M:

    Super PI 1M:

    Super PI 32M:

    Pifast:

Did not have some memory with Elpida Hyper Chips (only Mushkin with Elpida BBSE) but at the weekend get some nice sticks from Corsair and 50l LN2 + 50kg Dice

    Stay tuned

    Thx

@WCRF: we used for Elpida Hyper Chips ~1.76V - 1.82V and for Elpida BBSE ~1.70V - 1.76V (this chips do not scale good with vmem)

@aerie: x24 is not running as good as x23 - dont know why....

Is this Elpida Hyper the same of Corsair Dominator??

I'm asking 'cause I have the same RAMs

Elpida Hyper Chips are only on new Corsair memory (1866MHz C7, 2000MHz C8 & 2000MHz C7). You have (when we´re talking about the memory in your sig) the Corsair 1600MHz C8 - don´t know what chips on this modules - but definetly not Elpida Hyper...
