No Apparently our market does not sell enough hardware even though it is far bigger than some of the other countries, not being disappointed with not being involved but there are also some other big countries out there like Germany and France so I can not see why they are not in this as well.

I thought Hwbot gave a good idea of which countries are good at this.

i think the way theyre going about it is the best. a small shorter invite only first season to test things out and flush out the bugs. then afterwards a more open competition based on qualifiers for anyone

Would like to see it done more like the ALMS with various classes competing against each other and all for global wins. Basically what we've got are the top 20 benchers stuffed into one class. This is great, let this be the "prototype" class, and then offer a second "GT" class for the less extreme bencher. Take a look at the Forum Wars rules and regulations. Perhaps not as stiff requirements and limitations on hardware, but give the guy on dry ice a class to compete in. That'd be the lowest though.. benching on water is like taking a cart to a road course Then you've got to limit the number of participants and hold qualifiers prior to the season to set the rosters. I also wouldn't have "factory" teams due to the potential conflicts with benchers and sponsors. If a team is sponsored, great, but don't make it part of their team name unless the team decides it.

I agree with Gom...we should consider the concept of classes so us 2nd and 3rd tier benchers or those who cannot dedicate the time to compete at the top level can also have a chance to compete. Having competed in the last two Forum Warz I can say that the class system seems to work well and offers a wide variety of skill levels and rigs the chance to compete without fear of getting stomped on by the likes or Vince, Charles, George or Peter. Throw the rest of us a bone so we can feel good about being competitive at the edge of our skill level.

Having said that I am psyched to compete in a future qualifier for inclusion in the main event.

    5) The initial guest teams selected are done so according to perceived skill and influence on global overclocking. We naturally can’t include everyone and top overclockers will naturally be left out. The intention is that after three seasons we have a highly-competitive field which genuinely reflects the best of the best in terms of hardware and overclockers.

I think it should be more open...

No back room picks. Too much opertunity for favoritism.

    Unhappy

Not exactly fair in my opinion as it looks like you guys have favoritism with some guys , be it friends or whoever rocks your boat , where are the French guys at ? The UK guys ? SA guys ? and so on...

'' For season 1 all teams will be invitational only "

Thats my opinion and view on this.

i believe it's invitational for the first 1 or 2 seasons, then it should be open season.

Interesting concept. Are the team members supposed to bench with eachother or how is it gonna work? I see team members that live far far away from each other

Proven skills, proven connections, proven results.

Not going to try and narrow it down anymore than that, since this will start a huge debate

Of course, but not everyone can compete the first season.

Let's allow this competition to get off the ground before everyone (even those who truly deserve it) are allocated a spot.

A qualifying round would be the way to go, but as you said we are British so we would not even get invited to that if it ever happened.

But I do wonder how many marketing outlets will get annoyed at this in the world, as they have to make sales, so keeping this to a very small filed is hurting all the main manufactures a lot of which I don't think they will be too happy about.

this is no more then a money making exercise for the overclocker to make money off the back of our sport
