Hey Gautam...what's your take on Fugger's GT2 score?

BTW - our 32M run was at 5320MHz...something wrong with that

87,66 FPS in GT2 makes absolutely no sense. GDDR3 memory @ 1,5 GHz or some serious tweak, which has no affect on GT1 and CPU-tests? And what's up with the screenshot and low gfx clocks? I think this needs some kind of explanation from Fugger/Vapor or GOOC 2009 judges

Clocks in screenshot were lowered to throw the other competitors off track, iirc .

Real clocks should be around 910MHz core or so

Even with 900+ GPU clocks...I think an explanation is still in order....Charles

Can't be the memory either: 100MHz seems to only give +3FPS in GT2.

Yeah. Weird. GT1 is very low and GT2 super high.

Lowering clocks for screenshot should not be allowed in competitions. Screenshot should be the validation for some score and in that screenshot nothing is right.

Some explanations are needed for sure.

If I'm not mistaken, there is a screenshot with the correct frequencies somewhere.

Clocks were just under 900 for the core (set to 888, not sure what it actually runs at when we set that) and 1300 for the memory. Unsure about shader tbh, we increased the ratio a bit and then relinked, so probably ~1950.

As for the GT2....we were using an old school D3D tweak + d3doverrider (in the Tools folder of RivaTuner, we didn't modify or introduce any software whatsoever). Overall it helps GT2 a bunch but doesn't do much to GT1, maybe even hurts a little. I'm surprised that GT2 was helped that much, in my testing at home, it was definitely boosted...but I was on air with pretty low memory clocks (cards I have suck), didn't expect it to scale that much with better clocks.

All I know is that our score sucks BIG TIME considering the clocks we got from the cards.

As far as the tweaks are concerned you mean the following:

Triple Buffering settings in d3doverrider @ ON
Vsync settings in d3doverrider @ OFF
Write Combining in Riva Tuner @ OFF
    Texture Filtering @ High Performance

    ? Or something else ?

Thanks for the info many people were looking for explanation for that high GT2.
