Think different! < Be different!
sno.lcn and I may have lost the OCing comp BIG TIME... But we won the drinking comp hands down during the contest!
From the very begining, we had issues, the first mobi we got was DOA, we went through 4 CPUs with the second mobo. Today we decided to start fresh with the 5th CPU and a new mobi, and it turns out the second mobi we had wasn't so hot either! The third mobo and 5th CPU (what we started with today) was the best combo we had touched, but we got condensation immediately after the beginning of 32M. The room was small, and with so many people we overwhelmed the AC. The 4th mobo was also lost to condensation, so we conformalled the socket area on the 5th. But after starting Vantage, we found that Windows would not see both GPUs. We swapped PCIe slots and moved the GPUs to slots 2 and 3...but the OS would still only see one card. So we swapped the mobo again, and then both GPUs were recognized and we were ready to rock, unfortunately we were only left with about 20 minutes, which did not allow us to get a score up
Congrats to Charles and Eric and all the other teams, we're glad they all did so well. We're bummed we were not more competative, but we'll be back next year!
Thanks to GB and the other sponsors for an amazing venue for us, thanks!![]()

congrats to Charles and Eric
good work fellas. now we'll have to put up with Charles' thrash talking for a whole year
i'm a bit disappointed with how it went down for us but it is what it is and these boys pulled it off. We had a slower chip than top teams so we had to be agressive with our settings...VERY aggressive and as a results i killed the board and CPU after the first "safe" run at 5.3GHz. We had another 150MHz in the CPU and at least 8-10 seconds to shave off which would have been around Sweden times
Deanzo is a top team mate but the whole spooning in bed business is not my kinda thing... stick to those kiwi sheep bro
Fastest dual card Vantage performance score on HWBOT prior to the comp was 23K. We all absolutely destroyed the record with our runs
We had good card clocks and it was all stable but our Game Test2 was nowhere near Charles' and Eric's. The "old dog" as George called him kept his cards close to the chest and left us all wondering![]()
Fantastic event from GIgabyte again.
