Just loaded F3k, allows 4th core unlock.

F3k also allowed me to finally get 3.6 stable on three cores in win 7, I was even able to drop some voltages and tighten up mem timings a bit. Very nice. Only have had one night to spend with the new bios, but honestly on my current cooling I don't have a desire to go any higher.

Four cores only allows 3.4 stable but with much higher voltage than with three cores at the same clock. I actually can do 3.6 stable on three cores with less volts than I can do 3.4 stable on four cores.

Additionally, I can now wake from S3 sleep properly @ my max 24/7 OC (previous bioses would not sleep properly at anything over 3.4)

I'm thinking about getting something better than this CL9 DDR3-1600 to play with, any opinions?

Sure, I know this stuff works good, tend to like 1.7v in gigabyte which is within tolerance for warranty.....

The F3K is acting kinda strange. After having a good setting rockstable and you reboot, set the board a step up higher, oc recovery comes. Ok, this should be good if the made settings were incorrect. BUT: If you then load the rock stable settings from the profiles, the board is not able to boot with them anymore. Asap the recovery kicks in. You gotta turn off the computer and unplug the psu, make a cmos clear and everything is fine again.

Make shure the Board didnt lower any of the voltages or raise them when this happens . Ive seen some bioses get volt buggy and go into shutdown mode when they under/overvolt things a givin setting.

My M3A was Know for that with the 803/901 Bios and it was setting my volts @ 1.4v when i was at 3.95ghz. not good. When i stepped up to the new 902 Bios for tha tMobo the problem went away.

See if any other Bios does it. That is if you can run another Bios for that CPU.

Note: try a different HT setting and or Different CPUxmulti. It may correct your problem if it is what i think is happening.

This seems to be the same as the Triple Channel kit I got for $75 after rebate. I guess I did good by not waiting. I was going to be unhappy if they were like $60 or something.
