Arrow Core i7: high leakage & average chips @ low VID & high VID

I just got an interesting chip that draw more current than a normal one so I might share something here. Well people might call them hot chip/high leakage chip whatsoever. I was never lucky enough to got one before that is very noticeable. When I set at 4GHz (HT on) nothing fishy going on but I did notice it a bit hotter than normal one.
    idle .......load

When I set 4.5xGHz(HT off) the idle temp smells. I thought it the IHS but after 4 remount it still the same. Then I watch the watt meter and the power draw from the system is higher than before I swap the cpu.

    215x21 bios-1.4375V
    idle (283 Watt) ........ load (424Watt)

And below are ss from the average chip.

    217x21 bios-1.475V
    idle (250Watt) ........ load (397Watt)

The VID of the leaky one is 1.19375V and the average one is 1.25625V. Both oc pretty much the same but I got hard time setting the leaky one at 217x21 on prime given that every chip is different due to fabrication process.

    Room temp ~26°

Interesting info , which make my toughts stronger about low Vid as an Oc pearl
This is an example that that Low Vid doesn't guaranty a good CPU Clocker

If the low vid has a normal current draw then yes I concur. I think it just a mixed bag even with the same batch.

I've been saying this for more than a year now. Sadly some keep on persisting that a lower VID is always a better clocker. ! NOT !
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree
