I just ordered one DetroitAC top to replace my stock top. I will be pairing it with a Bitspower Mod kit.

Hope to receive it soon and see this top in action

    Will do.

I will be redoing my loop though when I get this. I am running into the GPU then the CPU and the CPU is staying kind of warm still, so I am going to tee off from my D5 and run separate runs to GPU and CPU and tee back in before the Rad.

I do not have plans to at this time. There was an incident with a manometer and some BP blocks that got me into not so good terms with Bitspower, love their 1/2" High Flow Barbs though.

Sounds like my compression fitting incident, only less costly..

Didn't you buy one of the water resistant manometers or something?

Yeah, I learned my lesson and picked up a hydronic manometer (Dwyer 490 series). There are far too many "inicidents" thus far in my short LC testing stay...hopefully I've met my quota for a while.

My Detroit AC top is at my parent's house now, sounds like all the rest my fittings and things will be there tomorrow when I go out there to visit. I should have some temp results posted by the end of the weekend. I will be taking my temps directly from Asus AI Suite and EVGA Precision Utility. I don't have any coolant temp sensors in my loop, but I think those temps should at least give a general sense if the top will improve temps.

Maybe if we ask nicely, Skinnee might be willing to do a more formal test.

I love this top. It does make the D5 smaller. I had a little trouble finding room on the floor of my Cosmos 1000, now with this top, no problem. It was extremely easy to put together. The main reason I bought this was I needed the G1/4 fittings. This top is the cheapest and according to Skinnee's test, the best performing. Absolutely no complaints. Great work Erik.

    @ Hondacity

I just got everything put back together tonight. As I said, I did change my loop a little bit. I will post a couple of photos, probably tomorrow, under the water cooled case gallery thread.

It doesn't seem that you will see any major temp differences. Using Asus AI Suite and EVGA Precision I measured in Celsius:

    -Stock Head
    Idle:
    CPU - 44
    GPU - 39

    Peak:
    CPU - 60
    GPU - 49

    -Detroit AC Head
    Idle:
    CPU - 45
    GPU - 40

    Peak:
    CPU - 58
    GPU - 48

I did not conduct this as an official test, so please don't take it as one.
