Thumbs up ASUS Crosshair III Formula + ROG OC Station

    It is here!

There is no doubt, that this motherboard will be one of the best OVERCLOCKING motherboards for Phenom II CPU's.

Now we have the full line of ROG motherboards for the Xtreme OC users and tech enthusiasts.

    Rampage Extreme: Core 2 Duo
    Rampage II Extreme: Core i7
    Crosshair III Formula: AM3+

    Here is some specs:

    Phenom II/ Athlon X4/ Athlon X3/ Athlon X2 processors (AM3 CPU)
    Up to 5200MT/s HyperTransport 3.0
    Dual Channel DDR3 1600(O.C)/1333/1066MHz
    ATI CrossfireX technology

    Special features:

    ROG OC station
    LCD poster
    MEM ok button

    Here is the pictures:

Sorry about the jpeg artifacts etc. The image hosting site is packing these pictures poorly.

I can only imagine how easy LN2 overclocking will be Full pot of LN2 and OC station next to you.. just click, click, click and you are done

Nex I will try this setup on air. There is only one silent fan on this setup, so I do not expect too high overclocks. Phenom II scales directly with temperature, so we will see.

These parts will be inside of the "SF3D OC Bronze" gaming PC More info about this will follow soon.

Got the system running short while a go. Board seems to be very good!

Cooling conditions are not optimal now, but it was still doing well. I will show some screens tomorrow.

Judging by SF3D's sig, you should probably PM him. Maybe email him as well, just to be on the safe side.

On a more serious note, there were some figures posted somewhere around here, if I'm not mistaken, too lazy to look them up, though.

This board should cost a bit over 200€ in EU area.

This motherboard perform very well. You will see!

By the way, what's up with the star rating system. Every time someone does AMD related thread, he will automatically get 1 star rating I can only guess who is doing this. It is very childish, no matter how you look at it.

Ehh screw the stars man, I don't even notice them I go by thread starter and views Looking forward to some results

Can you probe that puppy for me and show us vdroop under load SF3d?

Looks like the 8 leg IC top of board closest to blue dimm slot may be "A" read point, probably not the best but should give us an idea at least.

Can't wait to see results. Being holding off going AM3 at all because of motherboards. Been waiting on ROG series or DFI. I'd love to see how the station works also, good stuff

Just a typo, he will actually use a Finnish word for bronze which is "Pronssi"

AMD retail CPUs are not nearly as close to handpicked gear yet
(this is not a comment to start a fight...just my opinion...)

That's fast, but it doesn't play that smooth. Must be an Intel piano .

Yah I think this is geared more towards the hardcore crowd....., they omitted half the stuff we wont use to sell us a more expensive board

Always thought less crud = cheaper.

It should come pre shellacked at least
