If so, do you think I can safely push them to 1333 cas 5 or maybe I should try using some active cooling on them?
What is a safe temp for this type of Ram anyway?
    Thanks!
I have that set, cas 5 1333 not likely to happen.....I have them on the MSI because that board adheres to jedec and these apparently run better undervolted lower voltage than the gigabyte allows ( sensitive to heat ).....Check out the MSI thread for clocks I have a achieved with them.....6-6-6 1333 is cake as well as 7-7-7 1600.......I have had them well over 1400 6-6-6 and 1650 7-7-7...

The only sticks I know that will pull 5-5-5 are either a very very good set of high volt D9 GTR ( which I personally hate ) or elpidas hypers ( which I am in the process of aquiring ) that can do it at far more reasonable voltage...

This F3k bios fixed cold boot with 4th core enabled also. Seem much more stable. it required less voltage for OCCT stabilty test. So far so good.

Am well impressed with F3K bios it seems to have speeded my system up alot compared to the F3B Bios with using the 4th core!
Currently at 3.5Mhz 1550Mhz 6-6-6-18-20 just testing doing 32mb superpi!

I am testing it too and I like it so far.
Chew, yeah I got mine at 6-6-6 1300 stock voltage with no problem and hitting 1600 is no problem either...a shame they cant hit cas 5 but thanks for the heads up.

BTW, the only thing I dont like about this Bios is that I need to do a Clear CMOS more often than with the previous one when pushing my settings..oh well.

Well, here is my 3.9ghz 2800NB and 1333 6.6.6 21 32M run. Could be better...
This Bios has impressed me so far. No cold boot, easy to over clock etc.

That is crazzy clock, It makes me wish that I had some better sticks. I am so curious to to see gaming advantage of those timings, is there anyway if you can run a 3dMark06 cpu test on that clock settings?

Thanks, I have more tweaking I could do, been in a bit of a rush tonight with kids and wife.... I will do a CPU score run as soon as I get a sec. I am using the kingston Hyper-X 1800 8.8.8 24 1.9v sticks 4x1GB.

Here is the setting for both 1333 & 1600. Both are the 3.9ghz x4 settings.
Chew* might be able to point out some settings that could be finessed

    1333

    1600

    Try 1600 7-7-7-24-28 or 30 and 1333 6-6-6-24-28

Particle's First Rule of Online Technical Discussion:
As a thread about any computer related subject has its length approach infinity, the likelihood and inevitability of a poorly constructed AMD vs. Intel fight also exponentially increases.

    Rule 1A:
Likewise, the frequency of a car pseudoanalogy to explain a technical concept increases with thread length. This will make many people chuckle, as computer people are rarely knowledgeable about vehicular mechanics.

    Rule 2:
When confronted with a post that is contrary to what a poster likes, believes, or most often wants to be correct, the poster will pick out only minor details that are largely irrelevant in an attempt to shut out the conflicting idea. The core of the post will be left alone since it isn't easy to contradict what the person is actually saying.

    Rule 2A:
When a poster cannot properly refute a post they do not like (as described above), the poster will most likely invent fictitious counter-points and/or begin to attack the other's credibility in feeble ways that are dramatic but irrelevant. Do not underestimate this tactic, as in the online world this will sway many observers. Do not forget: Correctness is decided only by what is said last, the most loudly, or with greatest repetition.

Remember: When debating online, everyone else is ALWAYS wrong if they do not agree with you!

In a more manly subject...is it .175 for CPU on both?

Thanks for the input Chew* I am not an expert yet on RAM timings. I thought you might have some ideas.
Should I try to lower the Row Cycle time on my 1600 setting to 28? I never went below 31.

those 2 back timings tend to agree with the platform better for everyday use.

Oops, I seem to have cut that off...I actually had it .025 less on the 1600 ram setting. I didn't really need .175 for the other either. That was just a safe bet since I was in a hurry. So 1.50v CPU was fine. Might vary depending on your chip tho. I seem to need more v's on my NB then some.

Chew, I might get this wrong but are you saying that, keeping bank cycle at 28 or 30 is better for everyday stable clock setting regardless of latency and cyle timings?

yep 28 better for 1333, 1600 depends on ram but 28 or 30 is a good setting.....lose nothing performance wise gain a little stability and possibly higher clocks, not by much but a little, this is for 24/7 use of course.....

Feel free to expreiment when benching.

Thanks I didnt know that, for some reason I always thought the bank cycle was suppose to be latency+row cycle.

I also dont know anything about Command Rate Timing, is it better to keep on 1T or 2T and what is the difference?

In a perfect world yes.....Sometimes its better to keep intergrated memory controllers happy though........the laws of ram are more or less guidelines.....they can be broken and do defy the laws quite often.

Well, something is wrong now because I cant get this Bios to be stable at the exact same settings I was using with F3B (the other one that unlocks the 4th core).
If I try to run Prime95 when I set affinity to all cores, its an automatic BSOD.
I am going to redownload and flash again.
If that doesn't work I will try doing each thing one by one once again.
