Haven't been keeping up with this thread in a bit... I recently got the new OCZ Blade 7-7-7-20 2000 DDR3 and I am having trouble reaching 2000. I recall something about QPI to Uncore ration needing to be 3:4 or something and uncore had to be under 8000 as the board cant run above that?

Am I making up these memories? Anyway, how do I get 2000-2133? Im baffled.

Might need to up your IOH and QPI volts. What are all of your settings?

Stabilizing 2000MHz DRAM is not generally easy and it cannot be done within Intel's recommended specification (no QPI/DRAM over 1.35V). Anyway, try increasing your QPI/DRAM voltage to 1.55V and your DRAM to 1.65V, setting your BCLK to 200MHz and your multiplier for DRAM to 10x with Uncore clock at 4000MHz. Then take it from there if you want to change the settings.

    I personally needed 1.43V roughly for 4000MHz Uncore, 1.55V - 1.6V for 4200MHz - 4300MHz Uncore, and I could not get Uncore over 4450MHz stable.

Can only see two cores with HT enabled, new issue

I have been using the new i7 920 rig at 3.66, I have installed Office and a KVM switch so I can address my two 24" monitors easily. All went well. I installed the game Oblivion and maxed out all settings and played for a while, amazing, very fast frame rates no matter what I do. I then checked temps after a few hours of gameplay and I could only see temp on two cores. I went to CPU-Z and only see two cores. I then went into the Bios to check and I have the set CPU to all as I thought.
I either did something to turn off two cores but I have no idea what or I have damaged part of my CPU, does that make sense?
I can get all four cores to show again by turning off Hyper Threading in the BIOS. With HT off CPU-z and System monitor show all four cores.
With HT enabled System monitor shows CPU 0 and 3 are parked.
I can turn this on and off by enabling HT (only see two cores) and disabling HT (see all four).
This is new as up until yesterday I could see all four with HT enabled.
The only thing that is different that I can tell, and this may be a coincidence, is the use of the KVM switch and threfore a new mouse, keyboard and monitors. I have tried switching the mouse and keyboard manually but still using the KVM to switch the monitors and that makes no difference. With HT enabled I can only see two cores or four if you count the two virtual cores but CPU-z and real temp only see two cores untill I again disable HT and then they see all four again.
    Chip error or defect perhaps??

Can somebody forgive me for not reading all 80 pages?

What blocks are you people using for these and have they helped you get higher clocks? What clocks have you had with the board?

and my p6t deluxe is going back!!

    So ill be running 965ee, 2X gtx295 quad sli,and corsair 3X2 gig 1866 cl7 gt's,I hope this board can handle 2 gtx295's @16X.

Does anyone have issues with 2 gtx295' running in there systems?

on my 965 I was using the Swiftech GTZ before I went with a Phase Change system.

You should go to the liquid cooling section - everything you could want to know (and more) is there...

I will try the 200 BCLK and up the voltages. I am currently running 185x25 with my memory at 925mhz and its burntest stable. Odd thing is that when I ran the everest memory benchmark, I only got 14251 MB/s read. What's up with that?

I enabled AHCI by accident on my Asus P5K, post Win 7 install, without reg tweek. I was shocked when I saw the drivers getting installed. No problems so far.

    Red face

Im tying to push this bit more, I don't know how to go about overclocking the memory anyone help me with this. Im happy with the CPU overclock as the temps are nice at idle not tested them in max load as I never have used a applications max load only maybe games. No blue screen. Please give opinions on what I can do to further make this overclock better. Using latest bios and i920 C0 not D0 stepping. Also do I need provide any other specific information.
    Many thanks..

    Hello guys,
can you check for me the QPI link speed available when you have BCLK at 200 with an i7 920 cpu?

I mounted last pre beta BIOS 1403 and my Xeon W3520 is now unlocked but I can chose only crazy values on QPI link speed.

At 200 BCLK i can chose 7800-8400-9200 that are way over the limit of 4800 of my cpu.
On AUTO I have the classic 3600 but I wish to go near 4800, if possible.

Have I wrongly understood the meaning of these qpi link settings or the xeon was unlocked but with wrong values?

    Thanks,

    PS on RIIE

    Hello guys,
I wasn't sure of where to ask this question and didn't want to make a new thread so I'll give it a try here..
First power supply i had was a 1000w Ultra, died after a week. Second one was OZC Elitextream 1000w worked for ~4 months - Dead as of last night. Only question in my mind is WHY? Or it could just be my bad luck - wouldn't be much of a surprise.
Anyways, I'm ready to give a third manufacturer a shot.. what would you recommend that RIIE works with?

Try Enermax Evolution 85+, 1050W. Or you could try one like mine: Prudent Way 1000W, it has a lifetime warranty, so you are all set for eternity.

Ar you talking MT/s? If you are 7800MT/s is actually 3900MHz which is perfectly fine. You should not run into problems until you try to run your QPI link speed past 4000MHz or 8000MT/s.

All i have is a Surge protector strip from walmart However the funny thing is that i have two computers side by side - one just calculates 24/7 and another is for internet and misc work( its an old compaq) Both are connected to same strip and Both - well one at the moment- are on 24/7 year round however i burned 2 power supplies on new rig and Compaq keeps working just fine from the same outlet for years now.... ( knock, knock)
Sure, i rather spend ~200 for UPS than keep burning PSU's but can that be the issue, based on what i wrote above?

Which BIOS version are you using?
