    e759 has nf200 chip allowing 16x 16x 16x
    e760 does not

If I could do it again, would have gotten e760

761 is no longer for sale. It has been discontinued and SKU removed due to lack of proper market positioning. See official announcement here http://www.evga.com/forums/fb.asp?m=100667969

Now, on topic can the OP please update the FP with more useful information. The way the FP should look like can be seen here http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=210275

Good though I would really suggest you move it into the first post. That's where everyone will look when they come to the thread.

Question, is anybody having problems clocking Uncore independently on D0 chips only using the Classified? I'm trying to figure out if there is a problem with the boards or BIOS or something to do with the D0 chips. Basically, Uncore can only be clocked 2:1 to DRAM or just a bit above (say +1x multiplier). An example would be if DRAM was at 1600MHz Uncore is okay if it is at 3200MHz, or 3400Mhz, but 3600MHz will cause an infinite F3/68 loop at boot and the system will not post. However, if you increase the DRAM speed to say 1700MHz, then 3400MHz (16x Uncore) is okay and so is just over 3600MHz (17x Uncore) but 18x Uncore or higher is not. If you go to faster DRAM yet, say 2000MHz, then you can set the Uncore to 20x or 21x but not 22x.

Don't see the point in overclocking uncore more than necessary. It does work for me at 4ghz Uncore/2ghz ram
    Sig is under construction

    My Question is :

Are the E760 Better than the E761 for OC ?? are they use the same Design and Chipset revision ??
    Anybody ??

Ok first, let me clarify what I said since you did not interpret it right. I know you can clock Uncore high and that's not the problem. But you cannot clock the Uncore high independently of DRAM which is a problem. You can only clock high Uncore if you have high speed DRAM and only within +1x Uncore multiplier really.

Now, why is it a problem you ask? Well, clocking Uncore high gives you more bandwidth and improves performance in certain cases even with lower speed DRAM. On the R2E I ran the Uncore at 4.2GHz for daily use but that was with C0 chips. It provided a tangible benefit when compiling. I also cannot bother to look for it now but somebody showed a clear time difference when compiling a Linux kernel while increasing Uncore quite some time ago (maybe around December/January last year/this year). It was a statistical comparison where the tester I believe was increasing Uncore in 200MHz steps while keeping the same CPU and DRAM clock and seconds were definitely shaved off.

And then there is the pure joy of overclocking yet another component. It is XS after all

761 is the same board as 760 but with ECP. However, EVGA is no longer offering this board. Why would you want it anyway? Just get the 760 and get the ECP separately if you really need it (which mind you, you really do not).

Where do you live? ECP can be ordered directly from EVGA online store, same with the 760, or you can get the 760 I think from Newegg or NCIX.
