    Unus Multorum - Black TJ09

So finally a project for me to work on that may be worthy of XS, a fully watercooled and slightly modded TJ09 all in black. This build has faced several iterations and a lot of ghetto looks, so this time I am hoping for the build I've always wanted.

The three revisions of this build

    The Plan:

    Fully powdercoated interior, matte black
    Watercooled gpu, cpu and chipset
Sleeved cabling in the last few inches to the components(extenders are easier to sleeve than parts of the PSU you will never see)

    The Parts

    PC:
    i7 920
    6GB Corsair Dominator GT(TR3X6G1866C7GTF G)
    Foxconn Bloodrage
    ATI 4870x2
    Corsair TX850
    MurderMod sleeving

    Cooling:
    Heatkiller Rev3(Delrin top)
    Heatkiller X2 4870x2 FC block
    Swiftech 655 Variable speed pump w/ EK x-top Rev2
    EK Multioption Res. 150
    FrozenQ T-virus Waterfeature(pending)
    PA120.3 w/ 3x Scythe S-flex F fans
    MCR220 w/ 2x Scythe S-flex F fans
    mCubed Tbalancer bigNG w/SensorHub(pending)

A few things are done, my(badly done) cut in the motherboard tray is made and the case has completed the powdercoating process, I am very pleased with the result.

So hopefully the parts I need start arriving and my build can begin in earnest, but there is still a dilemma, I am getting two of the T-virus spirals, one with black endcaps and one with red, both with white LED lighting. No idea which to go with, same with my tubing, I have Primochill tubing in both black and red, any opinions? Thanks for looking in! Hopefully there will be some real progress in the next few days.

You REALLY should have replaced that clear 8pin cpu plug. It looks awful, the sleeving looks good but the plug sticks out like a sore thumb. Get a black one from somewhere that sells them as parts and it will look much better

I actually have one scavenged from a broken PSU, I just haven't gotten the patience to sit down and replace it yet

Interesting work with the PSU and mid-intake. Looking forwards to seeing what you do with it.

Interesting res placement in the second pic. Another way you could do it is like this:

How are you planning to mount the rads? PA120.3 off the back and the ST220 at the top?

    • i7 920 D0 // eVGA X58 SLI // 12GB G.Skill Ripjaws // HD6950 (6970 BIOS)
    • Apogee XT // MCP655 // Thermochill PA120.3 // CM HAF 932
    • OCZ Vertex 3 MI edition // ASUS Xonar DX // Corsair TX850
    • HTC Incredible - Uber Kingdom Revolution ROM

The dual is going top and the triple is going bottom, as in the picture with the orange fluid. My PSU is going to be kept in the hdd area.

@dual: That would be my mom's, staying at her place during school and she is a huge puzzle fan.

Been a long time since an update, work on it is finally happening(got the missing pieces).

Got my pump all prepped for it's time in the sun

The leftover bracket from my old reservoir is absolutely perfect for this application, can slide the pump side to side and easily up and down, mounts where I wanted it without any fuss:thumb:

I got kind of ghetto-functional with my psu, I couldn't find what I needed to screw it in so I cut up some packing foam that it arrived in and voila! Soft but firm mounts for the psu.

    Ghetto fabulous

The front bay, just absolutely filled up with stuff, too bad this configuration DOESN'T WORK. my internal USB cable is borked and I haven't had the balls to cut it up yet, gonna have to make a custom one I guess, this orientation is just way too perfect.

Once my camera is back up I'm gonna get it all test fitted and take a daylight pic(iPhone camera is bull).
