I think I will have to do something similar with my SS, as it wont fit onto my 7300SE, :p
However, I was going to ask, where could I get one of those connectors for PCI-E slot?
So I dont have to have the card in the slot?

here is my 4890 on SS

We invented this mounting one and a half year ago :



This was on first AOCM back in 2007. Everybody laughed when we put 8800 ultra under mach 2 gt - but it worked very well and in the end nobody laughed.

It's totally ugly but it works....

Your are right, of course we didn't invent this style really. We just used it as is it a fast method of mounting and it works great. Nice to see such mountings from time to time.

I updated the rankings in the first post, if I missed someones result let me know. This is how it looks with Monstru & Micutzu and Aristidis taking home the gold. Bottom 3 finishers OVERALL were Crusty, Brandybuck, and Crio. You guys will be getting NB pots

I was trying to fix another little issue, and knocked two very little smd's (or whatever thay are called) off, one of them broke in half as well not sure if there is anyway to fix something like that.
It was just one of them days when nothing goes right.

The wife was a little pi$$ed I killed something that was worth more than what was on offer for 1st place.

She just doesn't understand that, that has nothing to do with why many of us take part in these things.
