Everest gives a reading for the Northbridge but its not the Northbridge. I haven't used Everest on this build yet but I believe that Everest picks up the temp from vreg or cpu and just calls it the NB temp. The only way to see the NB temp currently is in BIOS or maybe with a sensor. Even with the waterblock you still won't know your NB temps. It should be easy to see any difference in idle temps for the NB in the BIOS if you check your temps before installing the block.

Just as a heads up with those QDs, mine leak a fair amount of water when disconnecting. You really sure you want them on top of the board like that? Also, i got a leak over the weekend when one didnt seal itself correctly. I was not pleased.

And u didnt screw it in tight enough huh? I had that happen once or it got loose when i attached the QD and jolted it loose.

No see thats the thing, it was fully clicked in. I had to disconnect it and reconnect it, then it sealed.

    ask dean for an RMA.

sounds like a bad QD then.

I have been running it for a hour before put on MB, then test it again after mounting to the MB without switching on the PC, of course with a lot tissue ...it is a safer way, I think!

On the Koolance NB block - does it have specific inlet/outlet ports, or doesn't it matter?

    Okay, I'm either blind or...

Does the Koolance NB block cover one of the mobo mounting screw holes? I have an extra screw but can't seem to find the last mount hole.

It uses the same exact holes of the original NB heatsink + the two holes of the small heatsink
    You get an extra screw...

Mine came in the mail today. Have we found out how to see the NB temps from within Windows?

    Yeah LOL
I found a pic of a stock EVGA Classified and found the mounting hole just below the stock NB sink (center-right) is covered by the Koolance block. Not a big deal, I was just going crazy figuring out where that last screw went!

    mmmmm might be close...

would have to depend on how thick of a tubing you were running, and if you were using compressions or not.
