Yeah that's sorted it, will remember that in future

:edit: Started getting random freezes all over the shop on FO3 though, have reverted to previous beta.

So far for me though i don't seem to be getting any performance hits, and in FO3 this option seems to get a tighter grip on the sky box's HDR, an improvement for sure, i reckon i'll have the AO on by default.
I kinda think that some of the difference in the WoW screenshot is the time-of-day in game... like there was a while between the screenshots. But maybe it's all due to AO. It certainly should be shadowing (like it does under the plants), not brightening the scene as a whole, which is why I think it's kind of confusing.

As already stated I am well aware of the rules but in this case these are the first Windows 7 WHQL certified Nvidia drivers to be released, which I thought it pretty newsworthy.... it will be moved if deemed appropriate, eventually.

Tried these out. experienced 20-30 less FPS in certain areas of TF2. Wound up going back to 182.50 Vista x64 drivers.

On what card? I'd expect that ambient occlusion to have a performance hit.

GTX 280. Turning off AO did not yield a positive effect. :/ Tried a few different things before uninstalling.
