anyhow i'm hoping they offer some way of stealthing optical drives. it's always an eyesore to have a nice clean case with an ugly beige or even black optical drive in the front. they just don't with in with all their plastic and crap.

something like what lian li uses would be great.

hopefully red beard is still tracking this thread.
+1 my li-li looks awesome cause of it

Hahaha, okay. The case went out with Lindsay Lohan last week and was photographed by paparazzi who then chased the case and Lindsay into a crowded bus station, at which point the case punched a photographer from TMZ in the jaw and snapped his $5,000 camera into pieces.

Then it effectively cooled a three-way SLI Core i7 4.2 GHz gaming rig and allowed for excellent cable routing.

All in all, a full night.

Has the case been updated to accomodate a PA120.3 natively?

-sidepanel variants available? all solid is a given, windowed is probably a given (clear or smoked?), how about mesh?
-wide enough to accommodate something like a TRUE+ a fan?
(goes back to the first few pages)- toolfree drivebays play nice with things like fan controllers and card readers?
-HDD backplane using a black PCB?
max cardlength doesnt seem to be any sort of issue, so that's not really a question, but...maximum length of card allowable?
I think that's about it for now, lol

Not stock, but the front panels are fairly easily modded if it's something people want to do.

I'm just waiting for more manufacturers to make optical drives with black brushed aluminum faceplates.

The case is immune to STDs, thankfully. That's actually what's been taking us so long to release it. Building up that immunity.

We're doing our best on release - we should see early samples hitting shelves before too long. Probably not in May, but soon afterwards hopefully.

-Unit will ship with window. We will probably end up selling a solid-side-panel on our website for people not interested in the Window.

-Well more than wide enough for the TRUE+ fan or the Noctua cooler or the Megahelms cooler, etc.

-Toolfree drive bays will also allow you to use screws if you'd rather use them.

-Yes, black PCB and there's a cover that goes over it so it gets hidden when not in use.

-Not sure on maximum card length but this case is fairly massive, haven't had problems building a system yet. 24" x 24" x 9"

Keep in mind the version at CEBIT is a pre-tooling prototype and the overall features and design might change a bit between now and launch.

Should everything work out we hope to have the case in stores in early May.
Tis early may. Just wondering if we had any new info about it i see your previous post says not in may.

Im just curious to see how this thing actually pans out since CEBIT.

damn, i'll have to either find a way to use the lian li optical bay covers or find a black brushed aluminum optical drive?

not a big deal considering how awesome the case is to begin with.

nice to hear the pcb is going to be black + a cover.

any chance of seeing any updated photos? even if just teasers?

Here's a few. Each highlights something different from the CEBIT version, even if they are just small changes.

Overall, not bad. I would say that im not a big fan of plastic tool-less designs, let alone tool-less designs n general. I would have to see it in person to determine if its any good. Now, i do like the top triple rad fitting area as well as the clean looking front panel power button. The externally accessible fan filter is also a great idea that some case manufacturers forgot to do right

Judging by the new top pictures, the top should have a plate that we could change between Thermorchill dimensions or either the stantard ones... not thermorchill only, since not everyone has one.

from those pics it looks like there's an indentation at the top where the fans are? i'm guessing this adds strength?

also i see a fan filter for the psu, which is a fantastic idea, will there also be one for the bottom intake fan? i'd assume yes, but it's always good to confirm.

the power button looks excellent! i like that it's a white led as well.

oh and the ability to go tooless or use screws for the optical drives is another great addition. this will most come in handy for non full length 5.25" bay accessories.

can't wait to see the rest of the changes, please keep the pics coming if ya got em!

i'm really glad to see the externally accessible fan filters, most cases are a pain to access the filters. lian li is good about adding filters, but bad about how they're implemented. just look at their cases with the perforated 5.25" bay covers all down the front, each one has a mini filter in it, that must be a nightmare to clean.

Imo this case is the only real competitor to the Cosmos S - which I own.
It looks like Corsair has taken the base design and ideas of the Cosmos S and just made it one notch better - judging from the early pictures, actually perfected it.
    I'm really impressed.
If I was Corsair and looking for further ideas to improve this case, I think I would look at the constructive critisism of the Cosmos S in various fora.

I would certainly upgrade to the Corsair if the price tag was the same as Cosmos S at launch. 180GPB//280USD//200EUR.

P.S How bout an "easier" and more efficient way of attaching the cables on back side of chassis, instead of black gaffa tape? It's getting old and very annoying

P.P.S Why is only the front made of aluminium and not the whole frame?

P.P.P.S what about noise reduction material in the side panels ala the Antech P180s series?

Looking foreward to seeing this case in action

I really like those updated ideas for the upcoming case but I still would have preferred a near all aluminium case.
